Responsibilities:
Provides accurate room preparation and instructions to patient / family according to the procedure and physically prepares patient for examination which includes explaining the imaging procedure and answers pertinent procedural questions and provides patient education related to ultrasound procedure.
Responsible for patient identification, proper identification of all images, PACS interaction and documentation. Operates hospital computer system for patient data entry and retrieval/ order entry and completion of study.
Obtains, reviews, and integrates pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data to facilitate optimal diagnostic results.
Performs high quality and comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound imaging exams in accordance with established department guidelines and protocols under the supervision of the MFM Physician(s)

Job Duties:
Operate all equipment to perform diagnostic echocardiograms. Use correct parameters based on patient age and diagnosis. This may include but is not limited to 2D, 3D, Doppler and color Doppler.
Demonstrates proficient skills in at least one additional advanced form of imaging. This may include but is not limited to:
3D imaging and rendering
Fetal cardiac imaging.
Efficiently and effectively perform pre-work by searching for relevant information related to prior study,
Communicate efficiently and effectively with ordering and/or interpreting physician - prior studies and as needed for outpatient studies to define study goals.
Measure all M-mode, 2D, 3D, Doppler, and color Doppler flow patterns. Calculate measurements, formulas, and ratios. Enter calculations and measurements into patient report in AS software.
Analyze images and correctly annotate in PACS system.
Act as a mentor and resource for students, sonographers and fellows in clinical situations.
Assist in administrative duties within the department as requested. This may include but is not limited to assisting with scheduling, research and quality performance, data acquisition and collection and clinical demonstrations.
Participate in research studies as requested.
Must demonstrate consistent proficiency in competencies for this position.
Assist Manager with EPIC and Radiant workflow and PACS system or other relevant EMR system in partner hospital systems.

Job Summary and Qualifications
Performs ultrasound procedures in an accurate and timely manner. Assists with patient transportation and other related services as required. Performs clerical functions as required. Provides preliminary interpretation of exams as required. Works weekends, holidays and on-call as assigned and required by department volumes/staffing. Provides ultrasound services at All FSED locations,Osceola Imaging and Osceola Regional as required and assigned.This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Osceola Regional Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values. The employee shall support Osceola Regional Medical Centers strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
What is needed in this role:
* Ability to perform routine procedure with stationary and portable equipment in all areas of the facility, including the operating room.
* Ability to perform procedures of various types to include routine and invasive procedures.
* Demonstrated ability to work with patients of all ages.
* Extensive knowledge of the correct operation of all departmental equipment, accessories and procedures.
* Ability to diagnose basic equipment malfunctions and communicate with service personnel.
* Uses initiative and independent judgment when necessary.
* Ability to train various staff types in essential job functions and evaluate those functions.
* Good communication skills and the ability to use proper channels of communication.
* Ability to coordinate varied tasks.
What qualifications you will need:
* Vocational School Graduate
* Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT), or Ultrasonographer, or Registered Vascular Specialist
* BLS Certification required
* 1-3 years of ultrasound experience preferred
