ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Sort and process all incoming mail and parcels, aligning with designated area requirements and maintaining our high-quality standards. Ensure sorting and processing targets are met or exceeded consistently. Inspect each piece of mail to ensure the labels are affixed correctly and the zip code on the label matches the address zip code. Operating sorting machinery which may include loading cardboard boxes (Gaylords) and/or bins and rapidly placing mail/parcels onto conveyors. Scan labels and maintain workstation. Maintain cleanliness of work area Flexibility to adapt to different operational areas as needed to support the business. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School or equivalent training and/or related experience preferred. REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: Listen actively and execute verbal instructions effectively. Ability to sort alphabetically and numerically. Understand standardized math processes, e.g., count, addition, and subtraction. Donations Sorters/Pricers are team-oriented, friendly and go out of their way to help our donors. They are able to lift incoming donations (up to 50 lbs.) and are able to evaluate the merchandise and price it appropriately.
