Advanced Heart Failure Unit:
The Advanced Heart Failure is an ACCN Gold Beacon Award Unit that is recognized for excellence in providing high-quality patient care, and a work environment that fosters teamwork, collaboration, and positivity.
24 bed Specialty Unit that provides high acuity cardiac care to patients with severe heart failure, pre/post heart transplant, the Total Artificial Heart, and pulmonary hypertension.
Work with high tech equipment such as mechanical circulatory support including ventricular assist devices (LVAD, BiVAD) and telemetry monitors.
Environment relies on 24 hours consistent communication and intricate interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level.

Overview
