Responsibilities
Essential Duties
Measure freight and enter information into the computer system
Perform simple mathematical calculations regarding freight measurements
Look up and apply correct classifications to the freight
Generate and submit reports regarding freight weights and measures
Process all paperwork daily associated with the execution of the job
Lift various types of materials including cartons, bags, cylinders, boxes, crates, drums, pipe, bars, rugs, etc.
Use common material handling tools will be used (carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and tow motors) to move freight for inspection purposes
Work in a safe and professional manner to reduce personal risks and risk to fellow employees
Comply with federal, state, and company regulations
Be available and willing to work; exceptions require management approval
Work in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way at all times
Perform other duties as directed or requested

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.
Requirements (to be considered you must have the following):
Computer with an internet connection
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus as you will be paying for your own gas)
Smartphone (Android or iPhone)

Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license
Pay and Hours
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary based on county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, you will earn the equivalent of $30-$40 per hour.
Depending on a county and if it is urban or rural you will complete anywhere from 20-500 inspections per month working 2-30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month-to-month.
Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect or are willing to cover a larger territory.
No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.

Ability to carry and climb ladders and use hand and power tools.
Ability to wear a respirator, safety harness, and other safety equipment as needed.

Supplier Inspection Services, Inc. provides quality management support services that assist our clients manufacture and deliver high quality products. Our clients include component manufacturers in the Automotive, Aerospace, Appliance and general manufacturing industries.
Our Manufacturing Quality Inspectors perform visual inspection and rework of manufactured parts.
Manufacturing Quality Inspectors starting pay @ $15.00/hour with room for advancement.
Manufacturing Quality Inspectors job duties include but are not limited to:• Performing a range of varied inspection tasks • Using inspection, measuring and test equipment as necessary• Perform visual inspection either at one of our local facilities or where the parts are manufactured or stored• Reading and following written and verbal work instructions• May work overtime and/or weekends as assigned
Qualifications• HS diploma or GED equivalency• Steel toe shoes• Basic math skills• Detailed oriented • Follow verbal and written instructions• Provide accurate and complete information for required paperwork• Must have own vehicle and a valid driver's license • Must be able to walk, stand, lift up and move material and perform repetitive tasks for an entire shift

Position Description:
Quality Inspector reports to the Quality Manager and ensures parts and processes meet the requirements of operation work instructions, customer requirements including the drawing. The schedule for this position is 1st shift, Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Essential Responsibilities:
Inspects and approves incoming materials/parts by confirming to work instructions, drawings, specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting unacceptable materials/ parts
Inspects in-process & final production parts by confirming to work instructions, specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, recording non-conforming parts in the appropriate database
Maintain records of testing and information such as number of defective products, dimensional results, etc. in accordance with the Quality procedures
Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs
Ability to complete DSQR training and earn DSQR certification to meet customer requirements
Use inspection equipment & automated systems to perform part inspections
Accomplish [Verify] first piece at the operation which approves the parts to be processed
Conveys verbally and/or in writing, the condition of the parts being inspected
Utilize electronic databases for submitting non conformances or obtaining work instructions
Performs administrative duties consistent with departmental practices
Follows all safety policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED with excellent working knowledge of trigonometry.
Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing including operational inspection or supporting quality inspection utilizing hand held gages.
Knowledge and ability to apply GD&T
DSQR/DPRV experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for parts or materials
Basic computer skills including data entry
Reads and interprets customer and industry specifications.
