As the Masters Social Worker, you will:
Perform ongoing assessments of patients to identify psychosocial, financial, environmental and community resource needs.

The CCWB Counseling Center provides confidential services to help students resolve emotional difficulties, improve personal skills, overcome the effects of trauma or grief, decrease substance use and achieve their intellectual, personal and creative potential. The CCWB Case Management program assists students in identifying and accessing resources that promote well-being and academic success. In addition to prevention programming, the CCWB Health Promotion program participates in Healthy Campus, Broncho Barkers, the Healthy Hooves Hut, and Peer Health Leadership.
Department Specific Job Functions
* Conduct triage assessments with students who walk in or are scheduled with the Center for Counseling and Well-Being.
* Facilitates client access to community resources, including locating recreational activities, housing, food, clothing, school programs, vocational opportunities or services, providers to teach life skills, and relevant mental health services; assists client to develop natural resources and make contact with social support networks.
* In collaboration with the clinical team, develop, monitor, and evaluate treatment/care plans and progress.
* Link students to campus and community resources.
* Engage in follow-up and connection to referrals and resources.
* Conduct skills coaching.
* Conduct educational workshops on a variety of wellness topics.

Enrollment Requirements
Fall/Spring Semesters: All student employees must be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible to work any UCO student position. Half-time enrollment for fall/spring semesters is considered 5 hours for graduates and 6 hours for undergraduates. International students must be enrolled full-time to be eligible to work as a student employee. Full-time enrollment is 9 credit hours for graduates and 12 credit hours for undergraduates.
Summer Semester: Student employees working regular student positions must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours to be eligible to work during the summer. Students not enrolled in summer classes must be enrolled in fall classes in order to work during the summer, but they (and the department) will be required to pay FICA taxes. Student employees working FWSP positions must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours (if undergraduate) or 5 credit hours (if graduate) in order to work during the summer in a Federal Work Study Program position.
Enrollment Exception: If the number of credit hours needed to graduate is less than the minimum number of hours required for student employment, the student must obtain a letter from their Academic Advisor (stating the number of hours needed to graduate and anticipated graduation date) and submit it to Human Resources. Under the supervision of the Transitional Living Programs Manager, the CWC Case Manager is responsible for managing NSO's Transitional Housing Program (TLP) at the Carolyn Williams Center (CWC) for young men aged 18-23. The TLP offers a total of 16 individual beds to young men from the Oklahoma City Metro area. The program is designed to assist each resident in achieving personal and financial self-sufficiency by aiding in resolving a range of barriers to self-sufficiency. A fundamental goal of this program is to assist clients in gaining permanent housing and the necessary life skills to reduce the risk of future occurrences of homelessness in their lives. We also seek to assist those suffering from generational poverty by helping them be better equipped with strategies, tools, and a recent set of “success stories” of their own to build on.
The CWC Case Manager ensures an empowering environment providing safety, structure, crisis intervention, advocacy, and problem-solving with residents. The employee must demonstrate an ability to form a professional working relationship with residents in an empathetic, respectful, and non-judgmental way.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Case Management:
Promote proactive approaches to resident, organizational, and community relations.
Consistently support and facilitate resident participation in all aspects of program and housing requirements.
Ensure timely notification and correspondence with all residents and volunteers.
Address the security and safety concerns of residents and volunteers.
Secure available transportation resources for residents.
Assist in the monitoring of the food pantry.
Supervise all evening activities as needed.
Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all residents with other residents and the external community.
Always ensure HIPAA compliance.
Create and support individual case plans for resident self-sufficiency and success, including case coordination, case plan implementation, and case development of short- and long-term goals.
Collect supplementary information needed to assist residents, such as employment records, medical reports, and other reports as deemed necessary to comply, and to determine the eligibility of programs offered in the community.
Complete documentation, log entries, case notes, and other written information regarding resident progress and concerns in an accurate and timely manner.
Complete requested statistics, weekly capacity reports, and HMIS data entry within established timelines.
Consult with Transitional Living Programs Manager and Housing Director concerning program and individual issues as deemed necessary.
Offer input for resident success, including case coordination and case plan implementation during team and/or supervision meetings.
Property Management:
Conduct weekly (daily) property inspections of the entire facility.
Report all property maintenance work orders to the Transitional Living Programs Manager.
Monitor residents' weekly building upkeep chores.
Conduct room inspections as required provide residents with inspection reports stating pass/fail and comment as needed, and log results in each resident file and CTrax database.
Work with residents and other staff members to maintain safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance of the interior of the facility.
Submit all purchase orders for food and supplies needed to Transitional Living Programs Manager.
Other duties may be assigned by the Transitional Living Programs Manager and/or the Housing Director.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED is required. Education in social work or human services is preferred. Associate degree preferred. One year of experience in the human services field, homeless services, or residential programming is preferred; a bachelor's degree in lieu of the stated minimum field-specific required work experience may be considered. Respond to crisis calls, chats, and texts, providing emotional support, assessment, crisis intervention, and appropriate referrals in a consistent and non-judgmental manner.
Consistently and accurately assess each caller/chatter/texter for suicide risk using established protocols; provide relevant safety/action planning for each contact.
Offer and provide follow-up services to individuals at risk of suicide, survivors of suicide loss, or third-party contacts.
Serve as a mandated reporter in cases of suspected abuse.
Follow through on imminent risk assessments to assure emergency contact is made and confirm outcomes for reporting purposes, re-engaging as instructed using approved models.
Gather and collect uniform demographic and situational information from help seekers.
Maintain confidentiality of all contacts, adhering to HeartLine's policies and procedures.
Complete required HeartLine and/or funder paperwork and data entry within designated systems.
Utilize supervisory consultation for guidance, support, or debriefing as needed.
Attend in-services and continuing education events to improve skills and stay current on policy/procedure changes.
Actively participate in HeartLine's community disaster/emergency response plan.
Maintain a 5% or lower abandonment rate per month.
Complete and pass all required 988 Lifeline Core/Introduction Clinical Counseling/Simulation training annually on the 988 Lifeline Learning Portal.
Maintain a monthly Quality Improvement score of 70% or higher.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Experience in mental health, crisis intervention, counseling, psychology, as a loss survivor, working with youth or LGBTQA, or in a community nonprofit is a plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be fluent in verbal, written, and reading communication in English and Spanish.
Reliable, with willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and adjust as needed.
