Tribal Level 122 Classification: Full Time, Exempt, Limited Duration INTRODUCTION: The Mental Health Specialist provides mental health assessments and treatment to Siletz Tribal Youth at risk of delinquency, Tribal Youth involved in the juvenile justice system, and adults within areas served by the Portland and Salem area offices. Treatment services include individual, family, and group therapy. Treatment services to court-involved youth will be coordinated with juvenile justice agencies and may include participation in monthly case reviews and closed custody reviews. POSITION SUMMARY: Holt International finds and supports permanent, loving families for children who are orphaned, abandoned or at serious risk of separation from their family. The master's level social worker represents Holt in their community and ensures the successful adjustment of child and family by conducting an assessment of the family, and providing appropriate services throughout the adoption process. The master's level social worker works cooperatively with families, the Branch Office and Adoption Teams headquartered in Eugene, Oregon. Assures child's physical and emotional well-being and eases family's adjustment by providing counseling to the child and family and/or helping arrange for counseling with a clinician outside the agency if needed. In case of an adoption disruption or dissolution, maintain relationship with family to ensure transition plan is developed that meets the child's needs. Assist child and family with transition of child to new placement. 6. Contributes to public knowledge about Holt and supports Holt programs by participating in activities arranged by Holt including picnics or parent groups, representing Holt at adoption meetings, coalitions and organizations, and performing other outreach activities as appropriate. 7. Maintains professional knowledge by attending relevant seminars and course work, keeping informed about State regulations, legislation, adoption issues and child-related issues overseas; maintaining license, if required. 8. Our residential treatment facility specializes in providing trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for youth aged 13-18. We are currently seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Graduate-Level Child Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. Position Overview: The Graduate-Level Child Therapist will provide direct clinical services to adolescents residing in our facility, including individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with youth in a residential setting and is either fully licensed or working toward clinical licensure. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions. Provide regular individual and group therapy sessions. Facilitate family therapy sessions and support family involvement in the treatment process. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and direct care staff. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with agency and state guidelines. Participate in clinical team meetings, case reviews, and staff trainings. Qualifications: Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field. Licensure or license-eligible in the state of Oregon (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LPCC, etc.). Experience working with adolescents in mental health or residential settings is highly preferred. Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, adolescent development, and evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, TF-CBT). Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries with youth and families. Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
