POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently searching for a Fulltime SurgicalTechnician for a multispecialty ambulatory surgery center specializing in Bariatric Surgery/Weight Loss Surgery, Eye Procedures, General Surgery, GI procedures, Podiatry, Urology, Orthopedic Surgery, ENT, and Pain Management.
The ideal candidate is committed to the mission of providing safe and effective patient care through cooperative work with staff and physicians.
Responsibilities
Verify operations of the equipment to ensure in good working order. Assist with position and preparation of the patient.
Prepare surgical suite with instruments, equipment, and supplies
Hand instruments to the surgeon during procedures. Account for number and location of instruments and supplies.
Receive and process specimens
Sterile processing of equipment
Assist with supply inventory
Apply and enforce principles of sterile technique throughout surgical procedure, maintain sharp safety, ensure medication safety on the surgical field, competence in surgical counts, anticipate surgeon's requests on assigned surgical procedures.
Requirement Qualifications
Minimum Experience: graduate of a Surgical Tech program
State Surgical Tech registration
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand after start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
Demonstrated ability to handle complex and at times stressful situations in a calm, professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year experience working with multiple medical specialties. Experience with eye procedures a plus.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment.

What You'll Be Doing
We are seeking an empathetic and skilled EMT Peer Support Specialist to join our mental health crisis and mobile crisis response services team. In this role, you will provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and immediate medical assistance to individuals experiencing mental health crises in various community settings. As an EMT Peer Support Specialist, you will collaborate closely with mental health professionals and emergency response teams to ensure comprehensive and effective crisis response and mobile outreach services.
RESPONSIBILITIES: As an EMT Peer Support under the supervision of the Director of Crisis you will:
Respond promptly and compassionately to mental health crisis and mobile crisis calls, providing on-site support and medical assistance as needed.
Conduct initial assessments of individuals in crisis medical needs.
Utilize your EMT training and experience to provide immediate medical care and support, such as administering first aid, assessing vital signs, and managing any physical health emergencies.
Establish rapport and build trust with individuals in crisis, offering non-judgmental and empathetic peer support.
Collaborate with mental health professionals, law enforcement, and other emergency response teams to coordinate and implement crisis intervention strategies.
Facilitate de-escalation techniques and utilize crisis prevention strategies to help individuals regain emotional stability.
Document all interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to confidentiality and legal guidelines.
Provide ongoing emotional support, actively listening to individuals' concerns and providing encouragement and validation.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including mental health clinicians, social workers, and emergency responders, to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive crisis response.
Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and trainings to enhance crisis intervention skills, EMT skills, trauma-informed care, and peer support techniques.
Maintain knowledge of current mental health crisis response protocols, EMT protocols, policies, and best practices.
