These Instructors are responsible for teaching individualized adaptive swim lessons. The hours are flexible and the pay rate is $15/per 30-minute lesson. The JCC is a non-profit social services agency founded upon Jewish ethics and values. Swim Instructors help swimming students develop comfort in the water and improve their swimming skills. Comet Aquatics is looking for competent and organized swimming teachers to join our learn-to-swim program. Your primary role will be to teach people of all ages and abilities to develop swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water. Expectations: * Ensure the condition of all equipment each time it is use, that equipment is used correctly, and that safety standards are followed during teaching sessions. * Plan and deliver sessions appropriate to the level of swimmer and provide explanations and demonstrate swimming techniques. Correct faults in swimming techniques and identify ways to improve performance. * To be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children and adults to participate in swimming. Skills: * Competent and comfortable swimmers are preferred. Classes and students may be assigned based on an instructor's swimming strength. These Instructors are responsible for teaching individualized adaptive swim lessons. The hours are flexible and the pay rate is $15/per 30-minute lesson.
