Minimum Qualifications:
* Consultant positions in SALT require a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance

Preferred Qualifications:
* GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)
* Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or other professional certifications' exams

Overview
Provide accounting support to project managers, forecast and monitor progress and costs, and foster a culture of trust and integrity.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide accurate and timely support to project managers, performing thorough and complete project financial management.
Set up and maintain multiple projects in Vista/Viewpoint or current accounting software.
Maintain accurate and auditable files in a paperless system.
Work with Project Managers (PMs) to meet monthly billing deadlines.
Create timely and accurate client invoices.
Ensure invoices comply with contract terms and client-specific requests for both time and equipment, as well as "Bid" jobs that are paid on a project basis.
Assist PMs with project forecasts by reviewing project work plans and cost estimates; routinely make updates.
Review equipment reports for proper coding of equipment utilized on projects on a weekly basis.
Final approver for vendor invoices in pVault. Initiate and track subcontract payment releases in accordance with subcontract terms and deadlines, and project manager requests.
Review A/R reports for past due amounts and assist in collection efforts.
Review project financial reports for cost accuracy and reasonableness.
Conduct weekly review and monitoring of cash receipt postings.
Perform direct project-related labor and cost transfers within the accounting system.
Maintain high standards of confidentiality.
Act as the "face of the business" to project clients, agencies, subcontractors, community partners, and others.
Present a positive and professional image.
Act as an ambassador for all Utilitra's business units.
Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about Utilitra's business.
Actively participate in training, meetings, and review sessions.
Cross-train in all facets of Accounting, preparing to fill in for anyone absent and to grow in responsibility and scope over time

Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and/or two (2) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; experience must include.
Two (2) years of construction accounting experience
Managing project financial data for multiple projects
Strong analytical skills
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and knowledge of Vista by Viewpoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
Reasoning and problem-solving ability
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Extensive reading of both written figures and words, typed reports, and computer screens.

This position is responsible for timely weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax payments and filings. Primary liaison between our 3rd party taxing authorities.
