Team managers oversee a team of employees to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively towards a common goal. They are responsible for setting goals, assigning tasks, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts within the team. A team manager also acts as a liaison between the team and upper management, providing regular updates on progress and identifying areas for improvement. They may also be involved in hiring and training new team members.

Team Manager, Pizza Hut

Pizza hut 101,I started out in queen creek as team member 2yrs ago.i was much older then the rest of the crew and you would think the younger ones would be hard to keep up with..it turns out they could could not keep up with me.16 yrs fast food experience helped me gain attention quickly and I was originally hired as shift manager with the mind set of assistant manager position in my sites..turns out my history would catch up with me and that felony showed itself again...finding out I would be stuck as a team memberat 14.00hr for the rest of my stay at pizza hut had me down and sad, but the area coach told me that HR wanted to talk to me and as it turned out they have a program for just this kinda thing.i agreed to stay out trouble for six months I would be promoted to management.that six months was slowly going through at snail pace i would only be scheduled for 4 days axweek 5 hr shift.but i figured i read the pizza hut rules and i came across team member trainer. This new found title gave me more time on the clock plus i had access to the house computer were there was a bunch of traing videos so i took them all..all the way up to RGM/AREA COACH level training videos and was given a certificate that i had passed the RGM 20 HR COURSE.THAT WAS at the half way point 4 months but i studied all avenues of pizza hut and i trained over 45 people in food saftey and customer service i even trained 5 RGMS that were sent to me for refresher traing.finaly the 6 month had come and i was promoted 40 hr weeks night shift manager and i was allowed full access to computer and watched more videos on resturant management ordering weekly inventory. Variances in dough count, customer predictions for sales payroll ..i have been in several locations gone in and trained managers for other stores. Went to managment class and sexual orientation class. I finaly found a dine in pizza hut that is big enough to keep me and a crew of 8 busy all shift. I have been asked if i would consider assistant manger orRGM BUT I HAVE DICIDED TO STAY AS LEAD MANAGER for awhile because the offer salaries was under 50k and there gonna have to meet me at 80k if they want the skill set i have gained..so i am happy doing my job and training people and one i just might run this resturaunt a RGM.
