Job Summary
The Fiber Technician is a field position that directly works to help maintain and expand the fiber network as well as complete the following tasks along with additional duties as assigned. This position is an hourly position that will require the individual to always possess a valid driver's license, maintain a stellar driving record free from any major offences that may affect Lightpath' s MOD rating. The position is a hands-on labor-intensive job that requires a heavy amount of experience in fiber splicing, equipment installation, troubleshooting and cable placement. The work will take place in but is not limited to buildings, confined space, side of the roadway and aerial locations. This position will require off hours, weekend, and holiday work. In addition to being part of an on-call rotation in support of the network that will require being available during various holidays and weather events.
Responsibilities
Complete field survey of a path for a new cable to be installed within a building, conduit run or aerial pole path. Capture all the information related to the path using varioustools of technology anddocument in a step-by-step method of procedure, that will be customer facing. Lightpath to provide that form document.
Ability to meet with representatives from different municipalities and review proposed projects, file, and submit permit applications, track the application, and follow up on its approval. Be able to communicate with other Lightpath employees to obtain any required information the municipality would request such as bonds and insurance documents or payments.
Work directly with our customers in the field, take and perform calls and email to update on project status and share documentation on each project with co-workers.
Track new and ongoing projects by maintaining numerous Project Trackers.
AttendUtility, Municipal and customer meetings to review and obtain permissions for newly proposed customer projects. Some of these meetings occur after hours and weekends. Some of the meetings are out of State and require extended travel times.
Operate a bucket truck and able to work aloft to access splice cases and lashing fiber cable. Install a lashing machine on the strand and lash small sections of fiber to secure the supporting strand.
Access confined space locations to audit conduits and place cable or remove splice cases and place in the vehicle to have work completed. These spaces will require a pump to evacuate water and the person to work in a wet and dark environment.
Shall possess knowledge of fiber optic filters and CDWM filter splicing and testing.
The technician must also be able to operate an EXFO OTDR and 400 gig test set and work with Lightpath or contracted resources to complete fiber and provisioning testing for circuits on an as needed basis. Individuals must be willing to learn and attend continuing ed classes for OTDR, electronic equipment and fiber splicing.
The technician must be able to operate a fusion splice machine (single and mass) for fiber optic cables. This work requires a steady hand and the ability to sit ina single location for extended periods of time.
The technician must be able to work onladders both 28-foot extension and step up to 8-foot-high step ladders.
The technician will also need to cover on-call shifts to support the Lightpath fiber Network. This at times may require working in adverse conditions and on holidays.
Requirements
Must have excellent follow-through skills, be detail-oriented and be able to develop and manage accurate data in Project Trackers.
Ability to travel for short periods of time.
College Degree in Engineering, Communications or related field experience preferred.
5+ years' experience in fiber optic construction installation and maintenance.
Superb timeline tracking and daily reporting skills on Excel, MS Office, experience with MS VISIO a plus.
Excellent customer service skill sets.
Excellent communicator who can coordinate multiple moving parts and multiple customer tracking.
Ability to use Google Earth.
Ability to understand and manage project goals, and deadlines.
Pro-Active and organized individual who has excellent follow through skills, comfortable meeting with customers, excellent time management, self-motivated individual.
Articulate, organized, and detailed individual who can interact effectively with customers, and other internal employees related to the project.

Position Overview:
As a Full-time Automotive Alignment Technician at Hogan Tire & Auto in Westwood, you hold a pivotal position in upholding our commitment to excellence in automotive service. Key Responsibilities:
Perform alignments: Use alignment machinery to align vehicles to company specifications.
Tire and wheel services: Dismount, mount, and balance tires and wheels, ensuring no damage occurs.
Diagnose and repair: Identify and fix issues with steering, suspension, and brakes.
Vehicle handling: Safely drive vehicles onto the alignment machine, secure them, and remove them upon completion.
Equipment operation: Operate all related equipment and tools as trained.
Customer service: Interact with customers, provide service recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Documentation: Accurately document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.

Qualifications:
Experience in tire mounting, balancing, and basic auto mechanics is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of suspension and steering systems, including toe, caster, and camber adjustments, is essential
Experience with tire equipment, tools, and alignments is required. Experience working with Hunter Alignment equipment is preferred.

As a Production Test Technician, you'll perform operational testing on a variety of moderately complex RF and microwave production components of varying complexity. This can be tasks including but not limited to: set-up, calibration, and testing and troubleshooting of instruments, RF and DC circuits, assemblies, components, and other systems and equipment. In the Production Test Technician role, you'll be critical to the successful production and technical support for our Engineering and other teams in ensuring our products achieve their intended functions and delivery schedule in a satisfactory manner to all of our customers.
You'll use your skills to work on Low to Medium Complexity Hardware, under general supervision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Determines compliance to test specifications, using methods and procedures from drawings, standard work and diagrams.
* May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
* May provide guidance to entry level production test technicians and support workers in the execution of production testing tasks.
* Measure medium complexity hardware.
* Maintain required certifications.
* Strengthen knowledge of CAES 6S framework and actively participate in 6S initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED equivalent
* 0-1 year of experience working as a Test Technician in a manufacturing/electronics environment
* Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Timekeeping system, ERP system, Routing, etc.)
* Detail-oriented with good manual and eye dexterity (precise)
* Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new challenges

Preferred Qualifications:
* HS Diploma or GED and additional training or specialized certification.
