Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics to accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues
Carry out scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks
Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, HVAC, and other major vehicle systems
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and document findings in repair orders
Recommend additional services or repairs in a professional, customer-focused manner
Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications, dealership standards, and safety requirements
Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to confirm function and safety
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Stay current with Ford training programs and technical bulletins
Assist and mentor junior technicians when needed
Collaborate with service advisors and other team members for smooth workflow
Qualifications
Ability to commute to 1479 Genesee St, Oneida, NY 13421 required
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Minimum of 3 years professional automotive repair experience (Ford or dealership experience preferred)
NY State Inspector License required
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical
Familiarity with diagnostic equipment, scanners, and repair software
Ability to follow complex repair procedures with accuracy and attention to detail
Problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple jobs
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
ASE or Ford certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
