Staff-Up is hiring a Field Service MECHANIC in Hutto, TX 78634
MUST have experience in the construction equipment field, and they need to have their own tools. Will provide some tools but must have own tools.
Pay Range $27-$35/hour
Position Hours: M-F 6am-3:30pm (possibly later if needed)

Job Description: Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostic, repair, and service of construction equipment at a variety of customer locations on customer owned equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain service vehicle preventative maintenance, inspections, and drivers logs as required
Maintain parts inventory in service vehicle
Travel to customer work sites to complete repairs on various types of equipment
Perform required preventative maintenance on rental equipment in field
Troubleshoot company and customer equipment in field to determine cause of reported problems
Repair equipment and restore to full functionality in a timely manner
Inspect and maintain forklifts, tractors, and trailers
Communicate with external and internal customers regarding the repairs
Perform repairs on equipment in-house if no service calls are pending
Ability to read and understand Schematics
Computer assisted troubleshooting experience
Basic mechanical and electrical working knowledge
Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma/GED required
5+ years of hands-on field service construction rental/equipment maintenance
Must have basic set of industrial tools to complete all tasks
Must demonstrate professionalism, sense of urgency, and strong customer service
Must be able to lift 75 pounds, full use of arms to hands to use tools, must be able to climb up and off equipment and be able to see close as well as distant
Requires a valid and current driver's license
Must be able to complete after hours Service Calls

Inflate inner tubes and immerse them in water to locate leaks.
Clean sides of whitewall tires.
