Purpose
Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain power transmission, hydraulic, and pneumatic components on production equipment and systems.
Job Description (Duties and Responsibilities)
Mechanically troubleshoot, repair and maintain all types of industrial machinery, equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot, inspect, adjust, and repair automated machines, process systems, and robotic systems to ensure they are working properly and safely.
Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance). Plan and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment up time.
Perform bench work in repairing and maintaining production equipment and spare part assemblies.
Keep neat orderly records and order spare parts. May be required to train fellow tradesmen.
Must be able to rotate shifts and work weekends and holidays as required.
Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.
Basic Requirements
Associate degree in Mechanical Technology is preferred or equivalent job experience. Must pass the skilled trades assessment test for this position.
Must have some knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting including power transmission, fluid power, and pneumatics.
Ability to read, write, and understand written specifications, procedures and prints. Ability to design and execute from verbal instructions.
Must possess good organizational and communication skills.
Must possess good mechanical aptitude and have the ability to work on close tolerance equipment and/or parts.
Ability to use various measuring devices (torque wrench, micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators etc.) Must be able to use math to calculate dimensions and determine equipment setups.
Ability to fabricate, weld, or machine parts preferred. Ability to operate basic shop equipment (hoist, forklift, scissor lift, etc.) preferred.
Excellent attendance required. Safety and quality conscious. Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.
Must be able to work in confined areas, climb ladders, and work at heights of 28 feet. Must be able to wear a respirator.
Must be willing to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge of plant equipment and systems.

General Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW/JOB DUTIES:
* Reads diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Installs stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
* Operates hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery.
* Troubleshoots, inspects and examines machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
* Adjusts machinery and repairs or replaces defective parts.
* Cleans, lubricates and performs other routine maintenance work on machinery.
* Assembles machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
* Schedules routine preventative maintenance work.
* Makes recommendations to management and engineering for improvement of preventative maintenance practices.
* Recommends replacement of equipment as required and assesses the condition of used equipment prior to purchase.
* Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
* Carries out other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints., electrical, mechanical, hydraulic
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.
* Regularly required to stand for prolonged periods.
* Completion of an electro, mechanical apprenticeship program; or equivalent.
* Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Familiarity with machine tool industry a plus.
* Familiarity with machine tools, i.e., VTL's, engine lathes, CNC mills/lathes, bake out ovens, vacuum furnaces and Fanuc controls a plus.
* Thorough knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and control systems.
* High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precision.

We are looking for experienced Conveyor Installers to join our team on a long-term project in Jeffersonville, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for skilled tradespeople with a strong background in bolt-up conveyor installation to work steady hours and competitive pay.
Position: Conveyor Installer
Location: Jeffersonville, OH
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour (based on experience)
Hours: 50-60 hours per week (overtime available)
Duration: Long-term
Job Duties:
Install and assemble bolt-up conveyor systems according to layout drawings and specifications
Use hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment to complete installations safely and efficiently
Align and level conveyor components including frames, belts, rollers, and motors
Work from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions
Perform basic mechanical work such as fastening hardware, adjusting belt tension, and ensuring alignment
Operate lifts, hoists, and other equipment as needed for installation
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience installing bolt-up conveyor systems
Ability to read and interpret installation drawings and mechanical blueprints
Proficient with hand tools, impact wrenches, and torque tools
Must have own basic tools and PPE
Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic
Willingness to work 50-60 hours per week, including overtime as needed
