Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Transport students to and from school and school-approved activities in a safe and timely manner. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and school policies. Maintain appropriate behavior and discipline among students during transport, reporting any issues to school administration. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly. Ensure that the bus is clean and presentable at all times. Maintain accurate records of mileage, routes, inspections, and incidents to ensure compliance and accountability. Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus as needed. Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, parents, and school staff. Report any accidents, injuries, or safety concerns to the appropriate authorities immediately. Attend required training sessions, safety workshops, and school meetings as scheduled. Promote and model respectful, Christian behavior and support the mission of Catholic education. Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for extended periods and operate a vehicle in a variety of weather conditions. Adequate vision and hearing are essential for operating a bus safely. Ability to step up and down from bus steps and assist students as needed.
