A Fuel Driver is responsible for delivering loads of petroleum products to customer locations in a safe, efficient manner, and within a specified window of time, at the direction of dispatch. These deliveries may take place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, in nearly any kind of weather. Please note this is an OTR position consisting of 5 nights on the road and 2 nights at home per week.
This position has a competitive compensation package including a Quarterly Driver Safety Bonus Program up to $1,500.00.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver loads in a safe and timely manner
Correctly follow all Offen policies and procedures as well as local and federal laws
Safely operate a variety of equipment, including (but not limited to) power units, power take off, hydraulic pumps, gravity drop tank trailers and tank wagons
Wear company uniforms and use all required personal protective equipment at each terminal and customer location
Follow all current Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules and regulations
Comply with mandatory drug and alcohol standards
Ensure that the company vehicle is safe and reliable to operate and is serviced on a regular basis; ensure repair needs are brought to the attention of the service manager
Maintain and abide by legal, electronic logs, and maintain a paper log if necessary
Attend required driver training and safety meetings
Properly and timely complete delivery paperwork and turn in at the end of every shift

The Heavy Haul Truck Driver position serves as a key participant in the interaction between the Company (and other crew members), other contractors and our customers. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Equipment may include but not limited to front-end loaders, track and/or rubber tire loaders, dump trucks, backhoes, motor graders, water trucks, milling machines, reclaimers, and/or forklifts and other multi-axle equipment.
Inspects equipment, and/or components daily to identify hazards, defects, necessary adjustments and repairs. May perform minor maintenance activities and report exceptional problems to appropriate members.
May operate equipment that requires technical expertise and/or specialized training.
Adheres to all applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations; completes and submits all required paperwork in a timely manner.
Cleans, inspects, and services vehicle ensuring it's properly maintained and securely stored (position blocks).
Maintains high level of accuracy in load sizing for both weight and dimensional purposes. Uses required position blocks and rope ties around items to properly secure cargo for transport.
Properly uses permits and translates diagrams and sketches describing off-highway locations, routes, and job sites.
Consistently completes all job duties in a safe manner and promotes a positive safety awareness culture.
Demonstrates a keen sense of safety and awareness particularly when working in high traffic and potentially hazardous construction sites.
Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail.
Occasionally confers with customers or the general public and is expected to do so in a professional manner. Communicates any concerns to Foreman and/or supervisor.

Valid CDL (Class A or B) preferred; Class A CDL couple with medical card required for hauling certain equipment.
Acceptable motor vehicle record and experience with 7-13 axle equipment.
Construction industry experience preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) and current FMCSA rules and regulations and ensuring compliance with these guidelines.
Proven effective oral and written communication skills, job planning skills and mechanical aptitude are a must.
Ability to work long hours outdoors and will be sitting / driving all day.
Ability to work Monday through Sunday and overtime as required (including irregular hours, out of town work, overnight stays, weekends and holidays).
Reliable work ethic; regular attendance is required.
Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds with co-workers, vendors, and subcontractors at all levels.

Can never have failed or refused a DOT Drug/Alcohol test - No SAP drivers.
No DOT Recordable Preventable accidents in the last 5 years
No major moving violations (15+, following too close, reckless/careless) in the last 12 months
Must have updated DOT Physical and must have 75 Days left on by Orientation date
Drivers termed from their last 2 Driving jobs (Class A or B) will not qualify
Benefits
Average weekly pay $1400 - $1500 week
Starting pay is .45 - .55 a mile depending on experience
