Oversight and participation in the following tasks: • Position or align components for assembly, manually or using hoists. • Set and verify parts clearances. • Read and interpret assembly blueprints or specifications manual and plan assembly or building operations. • Verify conformance of parts to stock lists or blueprints using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers. • Fasten or install fixtures or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools or power tools. • Rework, repair or replace damaged parts or assemblies. • Inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functioning, machine capabilities, or conformance to customer specifications. • Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems. • Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. • In absence of Operations Manager- System Assembly, ensures that the operation continues as it is self-directed. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and experience: High School Equivalency (required), AAS in engineering (electrical/mechanical)/auto mechanics (preferred) and 5+ years of experience high speed precision assembly and service. • Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, high speed precision machinery and tight-tolerance dynamics. • Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their application • Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
