Responsibilities
Provide direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments across a variety of educational settings

Provide consultation and training to school teams regarding accommodations, assistive technology, and strategies for students with visual impairments
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education with a specialization or endorsement in Visual Impairments (or equivalent)
Current Florida Educator Certification in Visual Disabilities (ESE - Coverage Code 894)
Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
Strong knowledge of braille instruction, assistive technology, and collaboration with Orientation & Mobility Specialists

Half year is defined as July 1st through December 31st and January 1st through June 30th each year the Long-Term Substitute is active.
