Provides the highest organizational level of technical support associated with analyzing, designing, developing, installing, repairing, fabricating, maintaining, modifying or evaluating the most complex systems for which the FAA is responsible. Incumbent is recognized as the technical expert on legacy and newly developed systems within a large facility or multiple facilities over a large geographical area. Work requires maintaining technical expertise on complex systems and/or emerging technology, systems interrelationships and management of the NAS. Responsibilities include the integration, restoration, testing and evaluation of new advanced service or service components, hardware/software systems and processes. Performs a variety of functions directly relating to the operation of the NAS. Serves as the principal technical specialist, project manager, resolving unique technical problems without managerial intervention, providing coordination and suggesting solutions. Works within established policies and procedures to select the most effective and efficient approach or to develop new solutions. Carries out work in accordance with overall plans and objectives of the organization, resolving problems as they arise and making adjustments as necessary to deal with unanticipated situations and organizational needs. Responsible for evaluating diagnostic data from multiple systems that are integrated to support a network of services or service products. Can be called upon to assist w/repair and/or restore service or systems, providing guidance on availability of backup systems and to upward report the status of critical events. Evaluation of this data is used for correcting deficiencies on Contractor Acceptance Inspection (CAI) or Joint Acceptance Inspection (JAI), FPIP, FSEP, Redline Drawings, Peabody and Tech Ops Toolbox reports dealing with LCMs. LADs, LEMs and resolving event based certification issues necessary for the timely restoration of equipment, systems/services with the NAS. Monitors other employees as a project or team leader. Responsible for all aspects of SSC projects from initial planning, drawing and specifications review, implementation, JAI, and disposition of assets. Acts as SSC point of contact for all projects completed locally or by outside contractors. Identifies requirements to accomplish projects and tracks the use of project resources. Provides training, mentoring, guidance and advice to FAA employees, contractors, and other organizations as needed. The Fleet Parts Specialist is a linchpin of shop operations and joins other fleet professionals from the mechanic, body, and metal shops to ensure that the City's equipment is safe to use and available when needed. This is a very collaborative role, with a focus on partnering with others to get the right part the first time, when it is needed. An average day will be comprised of several different duties and activities. These may change daily, based on operational needs, so flexibility and being proactive is essential. Good communication is a key to operational efficiency, both within the parts team and when communicating with the shops. Similarly, accuracy is critical. There are a lot of moving pieces in the Fleet Operations environment, so the ability to manage time and quickly shift gears is a highly valued skill. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the mechanical parts of a wide variety of vehicles, equipment, and components, will be self-motivated, able to work under general guidance to support overall team goals, and will be available to work assigned shifts between the hours of 6:00am-midnight. Shift assignments are rotated based on operational needs. All fleet operations personnel are part of city emergency responses and must be available for overtime and on-call schedules when needed. ABOUT US Fleet Management is a division within the Finance and Administrative Services (FAS) Department. The Department of Finance and Administrative Services (FAS) is often the public's first interaction with the City of Seattle, operating as a customer-focused front door that assists with everything from paying utilities or reporting a pothole to requesting public information or even adopting a new pet. Employee in this position will perform the following responsibilities: * Installation, testing, maintenance and repair of commercial FM two-way radio systems and equipment including low band VHF, VHF, UHF and Motorola Motorola 7.     Community Assisted Response & Engagement (CARE) is hiring Community Crisis Responder II's as part of the expansion of the Community Crisis Response (CCR) Unit. These positions will be responsible for being the first-line responder as a part of a team with other CCR team members and will report to a Community Crisis Responder Supervisor. CARE manages Seattle's 9-1-1 emergency and non-emergency response, working with other Public Safety Departments, including Seattle Police and Seattle Fire, to ensure a safe and healthy community. CARE expands the city's ability to enhance public safety through Dual Dispatch, which provides additional mental health professionals to respond to people experiencing non-violent mental health crises or quality of life concerns. Seattle 9-1-1 processes more than 900,000 telephone calls for service annually, the majority of which result in the dispatch of police, fire, rescue, and Community Crisis Responders. The CCR Units operate on shifts to ensure citywide coverage seven days a week. Community Crisis Responders will be scheduled for 40 hours a week with the potential for overtime. * Lead and handle more complex crisis intervention level cases to individuals who have come to the attention of Seattle 9-1-1. * Provide guidance and consultation to Community Crisis Responder I staff. * Manage communications equipment to maintain contact with dispatchers and other personnel. * Complete assessments of assigned clients through personal interviews to determine if or what assistance is necessary to achieve and/or maintain mental or health sufficiency. * Assess/triage individual cases, potentially delegating less significant care navigation needs to the CCR-Is. * Recommend to persons in crisis appropriate governmental and nonprofit supports and programs (such as SSI, ABD, VA services), or to identify shelter options and housing support. * Support and promote alternatives to jail and hospitalization to stabilize and improve the outcomes for community members experiencing behavioral or mental health crises. * Develop and implement individual client service plans; act as a liaison and coordinate services between program participants and agencies; contact and monitor service providers; contact client in person or by phone; terminate client services. * Follow-up and or counsel clients and/or families and provide crisis intervention services; and identify and resolve obstacles to service delivery.     This is an exciting opportunity to join the Wood Pole Design Team. We are responsible for evaluating wood poles including minimum clearances, condition, and remaining strength. If pole replacement is needed, we design and put together work packages that comply with City Light Standards, and National Electrical Safety Code (NESC). In some cases, a structural analysis will be required. We also support the Pole Replacement Program. We are looking for an energetic team member with an interest in learning new things and making a positive impact on our customers. The Electrical Engineering Design Specialist, Assistant plays a critical role in evaluating and replacing poles to support the work of other groups within Seattle City Light. In this role, you will be responsible for performing detailed drafting and preparing maps, plans, schematics, and drawings of electrical features of distribution systems and services. You'll need a keen eye for detail and good learning skills to gain proficiency in electrical engineering principles, in addition to strong communication skills to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively. This position reports to the Wood Pole Design Team Supervisor. Work Environment/Physical Demands Most work is performed in a normal city work/office environment. Field assignments may entail exposure to all types of weather, traffic, hazardous/toxic substances, high voltage energized equipment and work in or near construction sites. May be required to stand, walk, or bend for extended periods of time. May be required to work nights, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Overnight travel may be required.
