    Ultrasound Technologist -performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Communicate abnormal situations to proper sources in a way that facilitates resolution and/or tracking. Actively engages other health care providers (radiologist, surgeons, specialist, and mammographers) to ensure quality, continuity and appropriateness of care. Follows department procedures/processes/policies. Practices safety measures in radiography by adhering to all governing regulations. Follows universal precautions, infection control guidelines and sterile technique. Complies with all governing regulations. Stocks and cleans exam rooms/work areas. Other duties as assigned. Applies the professions code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Basic Qualifications: Experience Minimum one (1) year experience in Ultrasonography a minimum (will only accept new graduates from KPGA affiliated ultrasound program educational institutions). Education Graduate of AMA approved Ultrasonography Program. High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. License, Certification, Registration Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate Basic Life Support Additional Requirements: Basic PC (keyboarding & navigation) skills. Position Summary Primary Vascular Care is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our growing mobile vascular team. In this role, you'll provide high-quality vascular ultrasound services directly within long-term care facilities. This position is ideal for a vascular sonographer who enjoys independence, variety, and working within a supportive team environment. Candidates who are not currently vascular certified are still encouraged to apply; we offer up to one year after hire to obtain the certification. Job Description Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic OB/GYN/infertility ultrasound procedures utilizing various transducers primarily follicle, and transvaginal ultrasounds and first trimester OB scans. Perform ultrasound Doppler procedures. Perform 3D ultrasound procedures. Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images. Integrate diagnostic sonogram with patients' history, medical records, and laboratory results, and adapt to examinations. Present and prepare preliminary ultrasound findings to attending physician for final report. Consistently and accurately complete documentation pertinent to the ultrasound examinations. Assist the physician and other team members in providing excellent patient care. Maintain mature, professional, and effective working relationships with all physicians, other staff, and outside customers. Explain the procedure to the patient, record medical history consider necessary and prepare patient for testing. Responsible for appropriately marking super bill to charge patients for exams performed. Escort patient to check out desk to assure payment for services provided. Ensure proper operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; reporting equipment failures/calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques. Maintain related supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies. Conform to applicable HIPAA, billing compliance, Quality Assurance, and safety guidelines. Participate in a team approach to patient care. Coordinate with other staff to assure appropriate and timely patient care is provided and patient needs are met. Related duties as assigned. Requirements Current American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification in OB/GYN preferred. Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification. Diploma or certificate of completion from an accredited medical sonography program. At least One to Two years of experience in an OB/GYN setting; experience in fertility or women's health is strongly preferred but not required. Excellent oral/written communication skills. Strong customer service background. Proficiency in computers. Ability to operate ultrasound equipment efficiently, evaluate sonogram to acquire diagnostic information, communicate diagnostic information to physicians, follow departmental protocols and guidelines, and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team.
