Prepare room, equipment, contrast media, and supplies necessary for each procedure. Provide explanation of procedures and assumes care of the physical and psychological needs of the patient while in radiology. Obtain clinical information and indication for all sonograms. Document appropriate patient history and clinical data as indicated into EHR. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Knowledge of radiology best practices and requirements e.g., OSHA, CMS, and Joint Commission. Knowledge of healthcare supplies, logistics, and storage guidelines. Knowledge of HIPAA and other related privacy rules. Skill in problem-solving and analyzing issues in an efficient, methodical manner. Skill in communicating in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing. Skill in managing multiple priorities and delegating as needed. Ability to translate general administrative guidelines into specific action. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to build relationships and display a professional demeanor. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to be a good representative of Think. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Associate Degree in Radiology, or a related field, required. Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of ultrasonography, or comparable work experience in the practice specialty of abdomen and OB/Gyn required. General and Vascular sonographer certifications required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Ultrasound Technology required. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: This role operates in a healthcare setting. Must be able to: Stand 55% or longer of an 8-hour workday. Walk 35% of an 8-hour workday.
