Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust. What you will need: High School Diploma or GED. A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher Certified or proof of eligibility for certification (i.e., letter of eligibility issued by accredited school) by ARRT (S)(American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography) or ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography) Must be certified and currently registered as RDMS (OB or AB), RT(S), RT (VS), RVT, or RVS within twenty-four months of eligibility or 6 months of start date into position. Essential Duties Performing Ultrasound Imaging: Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, and vascular imaging, using advanced ultrasound equipment. Capture high-quality images and video recordings of anatomical structures. Evaluate images for technical quality, manipulate display parameters, and provide hard copy records of procedures. Practices aseptic technique when necessary. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control duties and department quality improvement activities. Maintain records of equipment and quality control procedures, including cleaning and maintaining. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, perform routine checks, and report any equipment malfunctions. Provide input for equipment purchases and supply decisions. After the preliminary report is created, the technologist checks in PowerChart under Rad Studies -> Vascular Imaging to verify that the preliminary report is present in PowerChart as was written in ProSolv. * Any acute findings are reported to the ordering physician or their designated subordinate and the documentation regarding who was notified and the time is entered in ProSolv. * Documentation of the patient's visit and the results are created in Data Check. * Provides imaging services of optimum quality with optimum productivity and customer service. * Collects data to support the measurement and tracking component of quality management. * Participates in formal and informal process improvement and problem solving to enhance the quality of service to customers * Identifies areas for potential improvement and recommends corrective actions. * Ensures the continuity of care through effective interactions with other departments, i.e., other off-site facilities, emergency department, registration, radiology reading rooms.
