Recognize emergency situations relative to the ultrasound environment and exercise initiative in resolving. Use good judgment in carrying out emergency measures and procedures for obtaining medical assistance. Describe imaging procedures to patients to encourage their cooperation and lower their anxieties relative to examinations performed. Minimum Qualifications Full and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. An ARRT-US license or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification. At least one year of experience performing general and vascular ultrasound examinations. Contractor staff shall have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by a provider recognized by the American Heart Association.
