The Engineering Specialist applies broad professional knowledge of engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges and ensure compliance with federal construction standards to meet specific client needs. Work is performed independently under limited supervision, requiring initiative, sound engineering judgement, and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including contractors, government clients, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Job Duties:
- Serve as the technical liaison between federal government client design branch, construction branch, and contractors.
- Review design submittals, shop drawings, specifications, RFIs, and technical reports for compliance with Federal and client specific standards.
- Apply engineering principles and relevant codes across planning, investigation, design review, construction administration, , and assessment of engineering procedures, structures, systems, and tools
- Monitors progress and prepares technical reports and/or project status reports.
- Provide engineering judgment for field modifications, non-conformance issues, value engineering proposals, and constructability reviews.
- Complies with guidelines and regulations including permitting, safety protocols, environmental requirements, etc. and delivers technical files and other technical documentation as required.
- Assist in the development of cost estimates and supporting analysis in coordination with government cost estimators and contracting officers.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings, progress reviews, and project closeout/punchlist activities.
- Conduct or assists in quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Develops, trains, mentors junior engineering staff while guiding technical direction and best practices.
- Develop and maintain client relationships through responsive communication and strong technical support. Serves as a liaison with clients.

Uses the correct portion control utensils during the preparation, pre-portioning, and service of food.
Labels, dates, and stores food properly according to established policies.
Ensures that refrigerator/freezer temperatures are within the appropriate range. Records temperatures on appropriate logs and reports any discrepancies to the supervisor.
Washes dishes, and other kitchen items. according to established procedures for manual and/or automatic dishwashing. Records water temperatures and/or sanitizer on designated logs. Reports any problems with proper water temperature or sanitizer to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Keeps work area clean and uncluttered during preparation and service of food.
Performs cleaning assignments according to established policies and utilizes the proper cleaning chemicals.
Performs duties using proper infection control techniques and using protective equipment as needed.
Ensures that dishes, and other needed items are readily available for the next meal. Stores dishes, and other kitchen items in the proper location in a way to prevent contamination.
Assists in receiving, storing, and verifying invoices for incoming food, supplies, etc. as indicated by the supervisor.
Reports inadequate stock levels to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Uses food supplies and equipment in an efficient and economic manner to prevent waste.
Maintains the security of the kitchen.
Performs all duties using proper safety techniques.
Operates equipment according to manufacturer and supervisory direction. Maintains equipment in clean and safe operating condition. Reports all equipment problems to supervisor promptly.
Completes tasks according to established time schedules.
Makes recommendations to the supervisor regarding improvements in recipes, menus, production and service of food, equipment, etc. to enhance the quality of the food service.
Works cooperatively as a team member with co-workers in all departments of the Nursing Center.
Interacts appropriately and in a positive manner with residents, families, and visitors.
Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.

Under the direction of an RN, the LPN provides individual and family-centered nursing care and treatment to elderly, acutely ill, or injured residents. Essential Functions
Provides direct care and/or assists with care as directed and consistent with their scope of practice and competency. Initiates the SBAR process and collaborate with the RN for assessment and recommendations. Makes rounds with physicians and other team members, as needed.
Participates in resident evaluations and care planning activities, reviews and revises residents' assessments and care plans as needed to the extent permitted by state nurse practice act. Coordinates residents' care activities and communicates changes to other team members and resident family/significant other. Oversees Medication Aide/Tech in medication/treatment administration. Administers treatments.
Reviews, transcribes, communicates and implements physician orders, obtaining RN signature as required by state regulations. Communicates with resident's physician. Assists with emergencies; administers cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Documents care performed and observations of resident status in the clinical record promptly by utilizing standard clinical documentation guidelines as required by the company, and local, state and federal rules and regulations.
Participates in medication management to promote optimal safety and effectiveness for residents by
administering medications as ordered, including next scheduled dose following admission/readmission.
Notifying Charge Nurse of medications not available;
Preparing, administering and documenting medications as prescribed;
Observing and reporting resident responses to medication;
Identifying and promptly communicating adverse drug reactions;
Maintaining narcotic records accurately within scope of practice;
Completing medication interchange and insurance prior to authorization as assigned;
Ordering or arranging for ordering of pharmaceuticals;
Notifying physicians of automatic stop orders;
Completing recapitulated physician orders review, as assigned; and/or,
Cleaning, organizing and replenishing supplies on medication/treatment carts after each use and prior to shift change.
Completes clinical admission paperwork for new admissions.
Initiates and assists consultants while providing services. Reviews documentation from consultant visit and follows up on recommendation. Assist with follow up on results of qualitative and quantitative medical record audits. Communicates and implements pharmacy review/drug regime review recommendations, as assigned.
Assists with clinical discharge process.
Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
Other Functions
Performs other tasks as assigned.
