Verify accuracy of shipment/delivery records such as bill of lading, product and quantity, enter information into system.
Inspect incoming truck/container for sanitation, validate proper seals are in place, numbers on seals match bill of lading numbers, overall appearance and smell is clean and sanitary.
Notify shift supervisor immediately regarding any apparent unsatisfactory product, discrepancies, shipment container issues or missing seals.
Visually inspect product and notify the lab if a sample is needed.
Unload and store received product in designated area, put away properly in storage racks.
Maintain inventory accuracy through good inventory control, ensure accurate entry of receiving into WMS inventory system and that all shipping documents have been signed.
Shipping
Inspect truck to ensure clean, infestation and odor free, no holes.
Fulfill customer orders, pulling from stock ensuring proper lot number, quantity and product.
Load and secure product on truck to avoid any spillage or tipping and affix seal to doors.
Label each pallet for less than truckload orders to ensure product delivered to proper customer.
Print bill of lading, documenting seal numbers; sign and issue original to truck driver, file copy in shipping document control.
Maintain inventory accuracy through good inventory control, ensure accurate entry of receiving into WMS inventory system and that all shipping documents have been signed.
