About the role:
Pickup and delivery of Mobile Medical Trailers of multiple modalities to hospital/clinic locations throughout the United States. There is opportunity for occasional transport to Canada and Alaska. Duties to include (but not limited to) prepare each unit for transport, safely transporting unit to delivery locations on a timely basis and setting up unit for the next day's use.
This position is typically out on an average of 2 to 2 ½ weeks at a time, average time home is 5 days but varies depending on when the next transport is scheduled.
Our ideal professional driver would have and/or be able to:
5 years of “tractor-trailer” driving experience.
Professional appearance and a positive and customer service-oriented attitude are a must as we pride ourselves on how we support our customers in the medical community.
Current Class A driver's license,
Operate a manual transmission,
Have a clean MVR
Some mechanical knowledge and experience.

Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. Qualifications:

This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program, which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.

Position Summary
Under direct supervision by department leadership, performs phlebotomy collection of whole blood and apheresis products. Responsibilities
Follows all DOT guidelines when operating full-size commercial van/Promaster, and safely transports staff, supplies, and equipment.
Travels to other local collection sites, as determined by business need.
Prepares collection site and performs set up, including technology systems (may include quality control).
Performs donor screening (collects donor histories), mini-physical, and phlebotomy.
Observes donors for reactions, provides reaction care and assists other staff in handling reactions if needed. May provide post-reaction care at mobile drives including assessing reactions for recovery, escorting donors, and serving as liaison to coordinate care with host organizations (e.g. high school nurse, drive coordinator).
Conducts automation (Alyx and/or Trima), including recognizing and responding to automation reactions. Recruits and converts donors for automation.
Rebooks donors for future donation appointments.
Understands and performs to all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
Recognizes when the customer is distressed and responds appropriately with tact. Creates a safe environment for donors and staff members.
Treats donors with customer service excellence, presenting a positive image. Responds to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints with a timely and complete response and escalates to leader when appropriate.
May prepare and pack units for transport.
Maintains product integrity and ensures proper identification of all donors, performs routine maintenance on equipment, and completes department records as needed.

* Periodically assists in cleaning ditch/drainage sites, installing/repairing tile and culverts, and installing/repairing guardrails as assigned, including lifting/carrying pipes and pouring/forming concrete.
* Periodically assists with flagging/traffic control at work sites as assigned. Periodically assists in constructing and maintaining road signs.

Requirements
I. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGES:
* High school diploma or GED.
* Working knowledge of and ability to make practical application of Department and OSHA safety policies and procedures, and ability to properly operate a variety of trucks, equipment and tools as assigned, such as dump truck, snow plow, front-end loader, compaction roller, paver, tractor, chipper, post driver, bucket truck, jack hammer, hammers, screwdrivers, welding equipment, and air compressor.
* Ability to physically perform assigned duties, including driving for long periods, far vision, hearing, depth perception, handling/grasping objects, and periodically standing/walking for long periods, walking on uneven terrain, pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects weighing more than 50 pounds, reaching, bending, and crouching/kneeling.

V. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Incumbent performs a majority of duties in a vehicle/heavy equipment or outdoors and is frequently exposed to normal hazards associated with maintaining rights-of-way, such as machinery, traffic, noise, grease, dirt, dust, vehicle fumes, extreme temperatures and inclement weather. In responding to emergency situations, incumbent may be exposed to such hazards as downed power lines and/or fallen trees. Safety precautions must be followed at all times to avoid injury to self and others.
