The Property Attendant is not a security guard and prohibited from possessing a firearm or dangerous/deadly weapon while on InTown property. Instead, the Property Attendant serves as the property's emergency contact after office hours and assists guests as needed. He/She must be alert for any safety and/or security issues or suspicious activity and immediately contact the proper authorities or the General Manager without directly interjecting. Job Responsibilities Patrol the property when the office is closed Live on the property and be on-call between five and six days per week as jointly determined by the Regional Operations Manager and General Manager. Immediately report any safety or security issues to the General Manager or Regional Operations Manager and contact the local authorities/emergency service providers if warranted. Respond and assist to minor maintenance issues, guest needs, complaints, and/or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, both in person and on the phone after office hours. Obtain guest list on a nightly basis to ensure only authorized guests are allowed to access rooms and the property Obtain a vacant room report on a nightly basis to ensure all vacant rooms are secured Establish good communication and professional relationships with property guests Complete three thorough inspection rounds of the property Monday through Saturday performed approximately at 7:00 PM, 9:00 PM, and after midnight Complete six thorough inspection rounds of the property on Sunday that should be evenly spaced in between and performed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM and one round after midnight. Document all inspection rounds and any incidents on the Property Attendant Checklist and note any issues on the Daily Action Plan for General Manager's investigation. Follow company procedure by verifying IDs to provide access to rooms for guests who become locked out. Take responsibility for insuring that property is clean, free of any trash/debris, and ensure that all storage and employee areas are secured on a nightly basis Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor and follow on call schedule Skills/Experience Ability to read, understand, interpret information found in a variety of internal hotel information. Ability to read, speak, write in an efficient manner in order to interact with guests and staff. Ability to self-supervise and work with limited supervision. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. High school diploma preferred but not required. Mental and Physical Demands Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces. Work on uneven surfaces in hot, cold and wet conditions, climb and stand on ladders at heights of up to approximately 30 feet. SUMMARY: The Starmark Service Center Part Time Driver performs weekly route truck white glove deliveries of Starmark funeral products to funeral homes located within 150 miles of a local service center. The typical route would include 10-12 stops at a maximum. They also support the Service Center Director in fulfilling the needs of customers. The driver will adhere to excellent service standards to maintain high customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips and submit report indicating truck condition. When loading trucks, review bills of lading to ensure that all items listed are loaded and that all loaded items are listed. Correct any discrepancies prior to leaving the loading dock. Maintain driver log according to Department of Transportation (“DOT”) regulations (no need to log if less than 150 miles as a crow flies). Verify delivery schedule is achievable before departing and ensure on time delivery of customer orders. Upon each delivery, double check unloaded items against the bill of lading and secure a signature from the recipient on the bill of lading, collect any COD payments, and ensure reloading of all pads, stacks and straps. Submit all bills of lading, logs, and other paperwork to Service Center Director in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure a message of good quality and ethics to funeral professionals, crematory operators and the public. Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction.
