We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to join our imaging team in Riverside. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations as per physician orders
Accurately position patients to obtain optimal images
Ensure radiation safety and follow ALARA principles
Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly
Maintain and operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently
Review images for quality and completeness before submission
Maintain patient records and documentation in EMR/PACS
Follow infection control, HIPAA, and safety protocols
Assist radiologists and clinical staff as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT (R) certification required
California CRT license required
Current BLS/CPR certification
Minimum 1 year of X-ray experience preferred
Strong communication and patient-care skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Position Description:
Under the direction of the Medical Director, and in conjunction with the Administrative Director of Imaging Services
performs various radiological procedures.
These duties include, but are not limited to: limited monitoring of patients during
procedures, performing some Specialized Radiologic procedures according to departmental protocols, working in various
areas and with various equipment. Also assists with QA and QI studies, patient scheduling, and crash cart
monitoring.
Technologist is expected to learn and perform with our Cerner information system and complete studies in our
McKesson PACS system. Position is expected to solve PACS during the shift.
Technologists are to complete all portable x-rays ordered ready for shift. With limited supervision uses independent judgment and necessary skills in obtaining the best
diagnostic images. Maintains and monitors equipment operation and calibration.
Assists as needed in maintaining relationships with physicians and staff. Assists the Radiologist with contrast administration.
Practices sterile technique and other duties as required.

Primary Duties
Assumes responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing medical imaging studies and continually monitors patients for safety and comfort while respecting patient privacy.
Properly confirms the patient's identity, verifies physician orders, and obtains relevant patient history.
Responsible for safe handling of equipment.
Educates and explains procedures to patients to prepare patients for medical imaging procedures.
Selects appropriate equipment to use based on modality. Selects the proper imaging techniques, positioning, and radiation safety practices to keep exposures ALARA.
Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure; makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
Ability to assess and interact effectively with all age groups from the Neonate to the geriatric patient.
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Completes all necessary PACS functions to assure timely presentation of images to radiologists.
Assists in maintaining basic records, reports, and files.
Assists in training of students and ancillary personnel.
Takes standby call at least once a week on a rotational basis scheduled by department needs.
Interacts professionally with patient/family.
Completes all tasks in a timely fashion.
Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including newborn, pediatric, geriatric and general population.

Summary
Under the supervision of the Radiologist and Department Management Team, the Radiology Technologist -Advanced (“Tech”) shall provide radiographic imaging services to patients by performing general diagnostic radiological procedures and general fluoroscopic procedures as required of the position of Tech. Additionally, the Tech will perform DEXA scans based on department needs. The Tech shall operate imaging equipment and image processing equipment, prepare radiographic exam rooms, and maintain department equipment and supplies. The Tech shall provide medical imaging services utilizing various modalities including Radiology, Computer Tomography, and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging; while maintaining competencies in these assigned areas. The Tech will provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient. Additionally, the Tech will provide services for inpatients, outpatients; hospital operating suites, the emergency department (ED), and the continuing care center (CCC).
Maintains quality assurance and performance improvement activities within the department as directed. Complies with all Joint Commission, federal, state and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Requires excellent customer service skills.
Required Minimum Education/Certification/Experience:
Graduate from an approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
Must have current CA - CRT certification; Certified by the State of California.
Must have current CA - Fluoroscopy license; Certified by the State of California.
Certified by the ARRT and must have a current ARRT R.T. (R) certification. Experience performing CT and/or MRI exams.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Minimum of three (3) continuous years experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Basic computer knowledge.
Preferred:
Competent skills to perform DEXA Scans.
Three or more years of continuous CT and/or MRI experience
ARRT certification in CT and/or MRI

Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed. Job Summary
Perform radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and disease. Assist with administrative and clinical needs as appropriate, such as patient registration and medical assisting duties.
Responsibilities
* Greet patients and explain procedures to patients in a compassionate manner
* Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures
* Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques
* Process images, review for proper identification and quality control and prepare images for reading by a physician as well as radiologist overreads
* Utilize both digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and all policies and procedures
* Aid provider with prescribed patient treatments in accordance with approved standards, policies, procedures, and protocol as necessary.
* Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as needed
* Complete forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed
* Serve as Medical Receptionist and/or Medical Assistant if/when needed within appropriate guidelines
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or six months to one-year related experience and/or training. ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred. Licensed per state regulation. In some states, Medical Assistant Certification or registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT or Paramedic certification is acceptable.
Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant / X-Ray Technician to join our urgent care facility. The ideal candidate will assist in providing quality patient care and ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities + Check in and check out patients efficiently.
+ Conduct imaging and x-rays.
+ Record vital signs and log information into the EMR/EHR system (NexGen).
+ Verify patient insurance details accurately.
+ Cover the front desk duties when the receptionist is on lunch break.
+ Perform general Medical Assistant tasks, including back office and some front office responsibilities.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in appointment scheduling and patient care.
+ Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records, specifically NexGen.
+ American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
+ 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bilingual skills are advantageous.
+ Experience in imaging and radiology is a plus.
+ Must pass an integrity test.
+ Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
Work Environment
The urgent care facility operates seven days a week, with hours from 10 AM to 10:30 PM. Employees work three 12-hour shifts per week. The environment is fast-paced, handling approximately 40-45 patients daily. Dress code is professional and appropriate for a medical setting.
