-
Warehouse and healthcare jobs dominate vaccine mandates.
As the highly contagious Delta continues to hit the US hard, more companies are requiring their workers be Covid vaccinated.
Yet, some jobs are still far more likely than others to have compulsory vaccines. Similarly, some parts of the country and some companies are far more (or less) likely to have vaccine mandates.
We scraped more than three million job listings to find out the jobs where applicants better roll up their sleeves- or need not apply.

HOW WE DETERMINED THIS
For this one, we turned to our own website data and searched more than three million job listings. Each job listing that mentioned, “vaccine” or “vaccination” was counted as requiring vaccination.
While the vast majority of these listings do refer to vaccine mandates, it also includes job listings that have separate masking rules for vaccinated employees, offer vaccine bonuses, and other similar references.
From there, we sorted the data to the state it came from. We then adjusted number of jobs listing per capita.
Finally, we broke down the data by job title- comparing the total number of jobs to the total number of jobs referring to vaccination.
Company and Job mandates on the rise
While company and job mandates are on the rise, ultimately the vast majority of job listings are not requiring Covid vaccination.
In fact, even the state with the most job listings requiring covid vaccination, only 1.75% of those job listings refer to it
Overall, workers in some positions (particularly healthcare and warehousing) might find these job listings more plentiful, but for the majority of workers it is not currently a factor in the job search.
The new FDA approval of the Pfizer vaccine however may rapidly accelerate companies that feel comfortable mandating the vaccine.
