Required

+ Minimum of 3 years of pertinent molecular laboratory experience.

Aerotek is currently seeking a highly qualified Welding Specialist to provide welding assistance to a manufacturing team based in Redmond, Washington. Welding Specialist are responsible for the daily production welding in a manufacturing environment. This includes monitoring work for quality, timeliness, problem solving and decision making on routine work. Lifting requirements: up to 40 lbs, loading and unloading fixtures on a regular basis.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES / DUTIES:
• Locate weld locations on blueprints and other schematic drawings for sub-assembly or assembly.
• Arrange parts and structures of common weldments, usually guided by patterns or fixtures. Verify that layouts comply with drawings and symbols.
• Load, unload, and place into position a variety of welding fixtures, depending on the production team needs.
• Measure distances using precision devices. Verify accuracy by comparing to measurement specifications.
• Prepare welding equipment for proper usage. Verify proper energy source and supplies. Prepare the layout of equipment to perform as needed. Move equipment in to proper location to maximize safety, function, and quality.
• Assure that welds conform to Genie quality standards and product specifications.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 1 year MIG welding experience preferred
• Requires a basic technical knowledge of MIG welding techniques and setup, verification, and operation of welding equipment.
• Requires sufficient welding skill to comply with Genie quality standards and product specifications.
