As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for obtaining quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods for all age groups. Methods may include venous, capillary, arterial, and line collections. Not all locations use all methods. You will provide rapid response to medical emergencies such as traumas and codes.

Provide proper transportation, along with the activities department, to and from competitions. Athletes must travel with the team to the event site as a team, unless prior approval and written permission from guardians and activities director. Athlete must sign out with the coach after competition to leave with parents/relatives. Athlete must have guardian approval, guardian note, and coach approval to leave with non-family members.
Assess and maintain inventory of uniforms and equipment so it functions and works properly. All uniforms are distributed by a school board approved coach and are all collected at the end of the season. Equipment should fit in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. Athletes must wear protective equipment any time they are exposed to the full rigors of contact in practice or competitions. Any defective equipment should not be used and reported to the activities director.

Reliable transportation and strong attendance.
Ability to work weekends or holidays as needed.
For CDL roles: Valid Class A or B CDL.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in agriculture, food production, or industrial environments.
Basic mechanical, electrical, or equipment operation skills.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.

Seeking Full-time Pig Production Technicians for a sow farm located near Wells, MN. You'll have hands-on interaction with livestock and regular structured routines.
Essential Functions
Ensure the highest standards of the humane treatment of animals.
Follow the farm's bio-security protocols at all times.
Monitor and assist with feeding systems and ensure animals are fed and watered according to respective protocols
Maintain and monitor overall animal health, care and treatment of animals.
Perform routine and seasonal vaccinations and injections as directed.
Perform general facility cleaning, maintenance, and hygiene.
Power wash following the farm's cleaning and disinfection processes, including to pre-check, performing the appropriate preparation, abiding by the safety protocols and ensuring the equipment is in effective and efficient working order.
Assist with the recording and maintaining of accurate production records and documentation.
Follow all safety policies and procedures; and communicate any potential hazards and near misses to the Department Lead or Manager.
Perform heat checking and the breeding/insemination processes
Monitor, test and care for pregnant sows.
Assist with weaning of piglets and movement of animals between barns and departments.
Prepare the farrow rooms, assist in the proper farrowing of sows and day one pig care.
Assist in the fostering of piglets.
Process and castrate piglets.
Adjust and hang heat lamps as required, check on heat mats.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee has constant exposure to dust, animal dander and odor. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees stand and walk on concrete for most of their shift. Seasonally, the employee is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions within the barn that include heat and humidity.

Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
