Other duties include designing and implementing plant / process specific solutions for improved equipment controls systems. Interfaces with Local and Corporate IT members. Works in partnership with customers, manufacturing operations, quality control and assurance, engineering, maintenance, and support areas to solve problems and provide expertise on enhanced equipment control systems. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for equipment controls system improvements, integration, and data collection. Automate data collection through computerized interfaces with equipment control systems. Customize equipment controls systems where appropriate and required. Create customized equipment control algorithms and user interfaces appropriate to each work center. Manage the Infinity QS SPC system for the KYOCERA AVX Myrtle Beach facility. Manage the SPC systems on the manufacturing floor Provide Special reports and access the SPC system data for other applications in the plant. Managing the SPC data for the Quality/Reliability of all products produced in the Myrtle Beach facility. Develop and maintain applications to assist in the data collection for the Quality/Reliability of local product lines. This is done using any combination of the programming language skills below. Provides training as required to end users during implementation and after go live support. Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree required in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field. Background and knowledge of machine controls systems including Embedded Controllers, Industrial PCs, PLCs, HMIs, Robotics, and Vision Systems.
