Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. We seek engineers who enjoy prototyping, planning, implementing, and maintaining amazing new features and technology for an existing and beloved game. You will report to the Software Engineering manager and work with your team's Development Director, Technical Lead & team to estimate, build, and improve projects. You will be focused on delivering excellent game experiences through efficient and effective code.
Location: Working hybrid onsite from office in Orlando, Florida
Your Responsibilities:
* Leverage EA's Digital Platform technologies to implement server features, components, and services.
* Create and maintain client code to support features and improve multiplayer experiences.
* Optimize client and server online systems to improve latency, reliability, scalability, performance, and memory.
* Design and iterate on architecture and infrastructure improvements for live systems and workflows.
* Work closely with partner teams to stand up and maintain online infrastructure and services for the title.
Your Qualifications
* Experience in software development with a strong C++ focus.
* Experience with networked applications or features (client/server and/or peer-to-peer).
* Experience developing in and debugging multi-threaded/concurrent architectures.
* Experience with database technologies (e.g. MySQL, SQL, Redis).
* Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, UDP).
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
Bonus:
* Experience working with Microsoft, Sony, or Nintendo game consoles.
* Experience with real-time networking--particularly peer-to-peer deterministic games.
* Experience with network optimization and improving service reliability.
* Experience with log analysis and tools such as Splunk.
* Experience with Linux
* Experience with Visual Studio and deep knowledge of debugging tools.

As a Software Engineer, you will help scale our video ad formats across all of EA's HD games. You will report to AdTech's Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities:
* You will architect and build a Video Ads SDK for HD gaming platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC.
* You will champion the SDK's integration with leading game engines like Frostbite, Unreal, and Unity.
* You will cultivate partnerships with EA Game Studios and serve as a technical expert to lead the SDK's adoption.
* You will foster a developer community by ensuring our technology is a seamless part of their game development workflow.
Qualifications:
* 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with expert-level proficiency in C++
* Expertise in streaming protocols (HLS, DASH) and knowledge of video codecs (H.264, VP9) for efficient HD video delivery
* Expertise in at least one major game engine (Unreal Engine, Unity, or Frostbite), with an ability to integrate SDKs while maintaining a high frame rate in AAA games
* Experience with network programming, including HTTP, RESTful APIs, and implementing communication protocols between the SDK and ad servers
* Experience building and maintaining a single SDK that works across multiple platforms (PC, console, mobile)
