Qualifications * Actively pursuing an Electrician's license. * Experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance is preferred. * Knowledge of PLCs (Rockwell, Siemens), robotics (ABB, Fanuc), and HMI systems (Rockwell, iFix) is a plus. * Familiarity with the NEC and experience reading electrical prints, including European styles. * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and obtain a forklift and company truck driver's license. * Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel. * Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * A detail-oriented team player with a strong work ethic and a focus on safety. What You Will Do Perform maintenance on electrical systems in galley, scullery, mess-decks, and laundry equipment onboard ships. Responsible for interfacing with customers, managing subcontractors and ability to provide work direction to others. May provide direction and lead others. May manage one or more multiple jobs. Completes comprehension of specialty trades functions and tools. Performs a variety of complicated and non-routine tasks. Develops and uses technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports. Schedules, reports and briefs customers and senior management. May perform quality inspections on finished product. Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment. What You Must Have High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 6 years of related experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Confidential security clearance. Must have shipboard electrical maintenance and repair experience. Must be able to read and interpret equipment and systems ship drawings, technical documents, and manuals. Must be competent in the use of electrical equipment and tools in corrective repair efforts in order to accomplish ship repairs. Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
