Install systems with or without blueprints, including building mock-ups and off-site prefabrication.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pipe fitting removals and installation.
Prepare pipe joints for welding, brazing, soldering, threading or gluing, ensuring adherence to required tolerances.
Operate pipe bending machines and torches; fabricate and install pipe hangers and supports.
Proficient at performing air, hydrostatic, static and operational tests on piping systems in accordance with safety and quality standards, including 009-71.
Calculate joint allowances, take-offs, and tolerances for butt welds, socket welds, braze and threaded joints.
Must be proficient in performing silver brazing (Grades 3, 4, and 5) and installing various MAF fittings.
Work independently and safely, following all applicable procedures, specifications, and safety regulations.
Must have the ability to use hand tools and instruments associated with the Pipefitting trade including but not limited to, pipe benders, bandsaws, grinders, drills and pipe threaders. Also possess and maintain personal hand tools necessary to accomplish their trade.
Read and interpret Chemist and Competent Person reports to ensure safe conditions for hot work.
Conduct self-inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and complies with applicable drawings and specifications.
Provide guidance and train junior craftsmen, providing direction as a senior mechanic when required.
Maintain a good attendance record, demonstrate a positive and professional attitude, work well with others, take pride in your work, and be receptive to constructive feedback from mentors (supervisor, PMT, etc.).

Other Requirements

ABOUT THE POSITION
Seattle Rep is seeking a Stage Management Apprentice (2 total positons) for the 2026-2027 season. This apprenticeship provides hands-on experience in the coordination and execution of all aspects of a production, from rehearsal to performance. The apprentice will work closely with stage managers, assistant stage managers, and production staff, learning essential skills in scheduling, communication, and leadership. This role offers opportunities to assist on Mainstage shows, new play workshops, and special events, gaining insight into how stage management ensures the smooth operation of each production.
Typical Duties Include:
Stage Management & Production Tasks: (75%)
Assist in preparing rehearsal rooms by setting up furniture, props, and technical equipment.
Track blocking, props, and costumes throughout rehearsals to maintain continuity.
Run cues and coordinate with technical teams during technical rehearsals and performances.
Create and maintain production paperwork, including contact sheets, rehearsal reports, and performance reports.
Act as the communication hub between directors, designers, and production teams to ensure smooth coordination.
Ensure the safety and well-being of performers and crew by addressing issues as they arise.
Administrative & Event Support: Maintain and update production calendars and schedules (20%)

Completes the "make-ready" process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the pre-move-out inspection, creating a "punch" list of maintenance work needed, scheduling vendors and contractors as needed, obtaining needed supplies and materials, completing all maintenance tasks, and inspecting completed work.
Assists in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris, pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
Supports cost-cutting and expense control programs by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible, not being wasteful with materials and supplies, and practicing the correct use of tools and equipment.
