Our client is a manufacturer in the Oxford, MA area is looking for a Technical Assembler to join their manufacturing team. This is a contract-to-hire position that will include on the job training. Assemble, install and inspect components which may require positioning, aligning and repairing pieces and/or cleaning parts. Using microscopes for inspection and analysis. Soldering and fiber splicing. Small parts assembly. Following and understanding assembly drawings and blueprints. Required Experience: Basic computer functionality. Ability to communicate in English, even if not primary language. Arm-hand steadiness with hand to eye coordination.

The Assembler will be primarily responsible for assembling military grade cable products. The Assembler handles a variety of products composed of small, light to medium weight components. For more information, visit ******************** ABOUT THE POSITION This position is located at our SOUTHBRIDGE, MA. facility and may be filled on the first, second or third shift, depending upon the ideal candidate. An integral member of the production team, the Assembler will use technical directives, work instructions, blueprints & schematics to build to specification, critical components for batteries used for aerospace, defense and commercial aviation applications. This position will also liaise with engineers on troubleshooting and process improvements. In this role, you will be responsible for the critical process of surface cleaning cast aluminum parts for inspection. It involves using compressed air to propel abrasive material at a surface under high pressure (60 psi) in an enclosed cabinet.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Utilize high-pressure compressed air to clean cast parts to prepare for inspection. Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure safe and efficient operation of tools and equipment. Inspect parts for defects or irregularities. Work independently to prioritize tasks and manage workload to meet production deadlines. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Communicate any issues or concerns regarding equipment or materials to the supervisor. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to sandblast techniques. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in a role involving metal casting or fabrication, but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or irregularities in parts. Physical strength and endurance to lift and handle parts weighing up to 50 pounds routinely. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently. Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to follow both written and verbal directions. Manual dexterity and good eye coordination is necessary.
