Operate all Sheet line controls.
Make sure the machine and work areas are clean. Before the start of the shift inspect sheet line area for cleanliness and proper stocking and report findings to current control room operator. Keep the dunnage area clean, neat, and stocked.
Respond to the bander when there are issues.
Make sure quality checks are being properly performed throughout the shift.
Work with Shipping to correct all issues in the rework area in a timely manner and ensure that no rework issues carry over into the following shift.
Follow all safety and company policies and procedures including maintaining good housekeeping, reporting any issues, accidents, or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned.
Inform Control Room Operator of Overrun, Underrun or scrapped sheets/units.
When the machine stops because of a Dry End issue, should make sure that the line is clear so that the machine can start up after the issue has been corrected.
Provide On the Job Training as needed for new employees.
The Dry End will always work as a team. Operators are expected to help each other out when issues arise.
Regular and predictable attendance; Attendance must be always exemplary. Must be able to work flexible hours and/or extended hours.

The HVAC Assembler conducts prebuild inspections of components and performs basic mechanical and/or electrical assembly of components to build HVAC units for use in the rail car industry according to drawing specifications.

Provide a quality product throughout the assembly and inspection process. WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work 40 hours per week plus overtime.
Ability to work in extreme heat.
Standing/Walking on concrete of 8 to12 hour
Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Team lifting some processes of 65 lbs.
Lift to waist and to chest.
Overhead lifting.
Continuous bending and stretching.
Pushing, straight pulling or hand over hand pulling in excess of 50 lbs.
Some work may be repetitive in nature.
Stooping and/or twisting throughout shift.
Climbing stairs maybe necessary
Must be able to read and follow STD work procedures throughout all processes.
Constantly demonstrate safe working habits and follows all safety requirements.
Plans, evaluates, sets up and runs needed equipment - saws, crimpers, pushers, flushers and verifies compliance.
Ability to identify and evaluate new products and set up machines per specifications.
Operator has the ability and knowledge to operate machine controls including recognizing warning devices on machines throughout the process.
Examines materials visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards.
Works for continuous improvement in all processes to maximize efficiency.
