What our ASSEMBLER II does:
Assembling the components of the job, which may include machining and/or assembling various millwork products such as exterior and interior door units.
Operating machinery that modifies the product (ex. chop saws)
Preparing the product for shipment by applying casing, sleeves, labels, etc.
Inspecting the overall quality and accuracy of assembled product throughout the assembly process
Repairing and disassembling returned or defective millwork to prepare it for resale or return to stock.
Performing routine maintenance on all tools used including cleaning, oiling, checking to ensure proper functioning, calibrating machines, checking measuring tool accuracy, and notifying a supervisor of larger repairs or malfunctions.
Working in a safe manner:
Participating in all safety training and meetings
Understanding and complying with the Company safety policy
TOOLS USED: Include but are not limited to chop saw, table saw, rip saw, hand saw; router, nail gun, screw gun, door machine, various pneumatic tools, and drills.
What you need to have:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations.

Might require forklift certification, depending upon branch requirements.

**What you'll do:**
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:**
+ Responsible for minor assembly processes, such as rotor/shaft assembly, pressure plates assembly, and shaft seal assembly, as required by work orders and/or lean line operations.
+ Responsible for the creation, production, and attachment of all production and R.E.O. nameplates in accordance with the requirements designated on the case history and/or the Sales Order Addendum. The production of nameplates shall be accomplished using all of the designated processes and equipment located in the area.
+ Responsible for lock wiring all units in accordance with all specifications defined by the customer, by prints, and by case histories. The individual shall also be responsible for physically re-checking and validating all fastener torque requirements as required.
+ Responsible for visually inspecting and completing final unit pre-shipment operations such as installation of drive shafts, o-rings, caps, plugs, placement of lock wire "tamper seals", etc.
+ Responsible for masking off and painting parts and units while following blueprints and special paint processes according to customer requirements and specifications.
+ Completes all required quality and customer information on reports and documents.
+ Responsible for self-inspection and verification of same on all required assembly and test documentation.
+ Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in all assigned working areas to the highest degree of cleanliness required for ensuring the highest quality standards in the assembly of all products.
+ Responsible for safety for self and for other employees in the area.
+ Ability to read and complete inspection ledger, inspection check sheet, operation sheet,

3. Gather competitive intelligence.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for automobile travel within territory traveling to agents' offices. Car travel represents a meaningful portion of associate's time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Minimum 5 years of progressive commercial lines underwriting experience in package lines and/or worker's compensation in the Property and Casualty insurance market strongly preferred.
