Full-time Description
CERTEX USA is seeking a dependable, experienced Wire Rope Assembler to join our team in the Atlanta, GA area.
The Driver is responsible for transporting cargo to and from designated locations, ensuring timely deliveries in accordance with the schedule and performing routine pre-trip inspections to confirm the vehicle is in proper working condition before departure. This role requires operating a large or heavy truck with a focus on safety, adhering strictly to all DOT and company safety regulations. The Driver is expected to support the warehouse with shipping/receiving and fabricating wire-rope as needed to support the business. The ideal candidate must be a team player willing to assist as needed to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Duties
• Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment
• Load and unload equipment, materials, and other items
• Verifying that all items on transport vehicles are securely stored
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery to designated locations
• Maintain cargo documentation
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any issues
• Follow established routes and meet delivery schedules
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
• Maintaining communication with Branch Management to provide updates on delivery status, clarify any special instructions, and report delays or issues encountered during transport
• Pulls orders and retrieves products from the warehouse and Pack/ship completed orders in preparation for shipping
• Operates counting scale
• Restocks inventory as directed
• Operates motorized equipment
• Calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements and identify the appropriate equipment to produce all varieties of wire or synthetic rope and chain assemblies
• Splicing wire rope and fabricating chain slings
• Understanding and operation of industrial swaging machines, proof testing machines, and forklifts
Required Skills/Abilities
• Valid driver license with a clean driving record
• Strong communications skills and customer-focused attitude.
• Punctual, reliable and able to work independently
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous experience in an industrial or warehouse environment is a plus

Working Conditions, Hours, Travel
• This job requires travel to and from client locations throughout a designated region as well as working in a
warehouse environment
• This is a full-time position with standard work hours of Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
• Heavy local/regional travel by vehicle is expected for this position
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to sit in a driving position for long hours with occasional breaks
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, usually between 50-75 pounds, such as loading/unloading cargo
• Drivers may need to push/pull heavy doors, loading ramps, or pallets
• Reaching overhead to adjust mirrors, open cargo doors, or perform minor maintenance tasks
• Regularly climbing in and out of the truck cab
• Frequent bending and kneeling when performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections or when securing loads with straps or chains

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The primary function of this position is to inspect, sort, weigh and pack fresh carrots in a timely manner.Collect, rotates, dumps and stores raw product into cull trailers, rotates stock in cold storage on rare occasion, inventories stock in cold storage, and accomplishes all other tasks requiring the use of specified heavy equipment
Will rotate through line stations every two hours or as directed.
Responsible for ensuring the use of proper packaging supplies are positioned at the assigned workstation.
Manually sort fresh carrots by size and consistency on a moving conveyer
Place carrots on a scale and check weight (1, 2, 5 lb. packages) on moving conveyer, place carrots on scale and check weight.
Manually twists the bag and uses kwik lok to close bags and place the finished bag on master-pack conveyer.
Manually obtain finished bags of product from conveyer and place into master-carton/bags/tray/IFCO according to units.
Box assembly - builds boxes by hand, grasps flattened box, shapes into box from, folds flaps down and pushes tabs into locked position, applies sticker with code date and product code
Rotate through line stations (packing, assembling boxes, rework stations) as needed directed by Assistant Supervisor or Supervisor.
Visually inspect carrots on conveyers and remove non-conforming product to rework tub.
Keep area clear, clean, and place trash/conforming product in proper receptacles.
At the end of the shift, responsible for removal of raw product and solid waste from food contact surface and properly clean and sanitize the production facility area/grounds and equipment
Cover and protect sensitive equipment with canvas/plastic cover
Apply cleaning chemicals to all machinery
Use centralized and/or portable foaming systems
Help disassemble equipment.
Apply heavy-duty chemicals to breakdown accumulated sugars
Apply concentrated sanitizer to walls and overhead
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications:

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The primary function of this position is to inspect, sort, weigh and pack fresh carrots in a timely manner.Collect, rotates, dumps and stores raw product into cull trailers, rotates stock in cold storage on rare occasion, inventories stock in cold storage, and accomplishes all other tasks requiring the use of specified heavy equipment
Will rotate through line stations every two hours or as directed.
Responsible for ensuring the use of proper packaging supplies are positioned at the assigned workstation.
Manually sort fresh carrots by size and consistency on a moving conveyer
Place carrots on a scale and check weight (1, 2, 5 lb. packages) on moving conveyer, place carrots on scale and check weight.
Manually twists the bag and uses kwik lok to close bags and place the finished bag on master-pack conveyer.
Manually obtain finished bags of product from conveyer and place into master-carton/bags/tray/IFCO according to units.
Box assembly - builds boxes by hand, grasps flattened box, shapes into box from, folds flaps down and pushes tabs into locked position, applies sticker with code date and product code
Rotate through line stations (packing, assembling boxes, rework stations) as needed directed by Assistant Supervisor or Supervisor.
Visually inspect carrots on conveyers and remove non-conforming product to rework tub.
Keep area clear, clean, and place trash/conforming product in proper receptacles.
At the end of the shift, responsible for removal of raw product and solid waste from food contact surface and properly clean and sanitize the production facility area/grounds and equipment
Cover and protect sensitive equipment with canvas/plastic cover
Apply cleaning chemicals to all machinery
Use centralized and/or portable foaming systems
Help disassemble equipment.
Apply heavy-duty chemicals to breakdown accumulated sugars
Apply concentrated sanitizer to walls and overhead
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or one to three months experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Skills and Abilities:
Read, write and communicate as it relates to the job and safety regulations.
Learn to use the required equipment and tools to perform tasks.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to meet company performance standards for the job.
Perform all job functions safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three to six months' experience in a production facility

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to ascend and descend ramps, steps, ladders, stairs using three-point contact.
Environment exposure_ hot/humid conditions (95 ° or above).
Environmental exposure -cold/wet conditions (40 ° or below).
Ability to work in warehouse/cold storage/shipping dock (34 degrees).
Occasional exposure to environmental factors such as fumes, airborne particles and vibrations.
Ability to lift, carry, push and/pull up to 50 lbs.; stand for prolonged periods of time; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach and twist; climb steps/stairs.
Ability to use hands and arms to grasp, manipulate, and handle scanning objects in one position or in a repetitive motion for an extended period of time.
HOURS & WORKDAYS:
2nd Shift (TBD) Monday through Saturday; rotating days off, when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory. Hours are approximate and will vary.
