About the role We're looking for a visionary Principal Analytics Platform Engineer to lead the architectural strategy and engineering of our next-generation analytics platform. This platform will serve both external clients and internal teams, delivering dynamic data visualizations, actionable insights, and AI-augmented recommendations through a highly customized ABI (Analytics & Business Intelligence) solution. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering expertise with a deep understanding of data platforms and analytics products. You will guide platform selection, design system integration patterns, and lead technical execution to ensure a cohesive, scalable, and intuitive analytics experience-driven by business needs and user expectations. Location: This position is located at our Dublin, OH campus with hybrid flexibility or may work remotely anywhere in the United States of America. What you'll do (Essential Responsibilities) Serve as the technical lead for embedding and customizing ABI platforms (e.g., Apache Superset, AWS QuickSight, or similar) into a unified client-facing analytics experience. Define and drive architectural direction for an extensible analytics delivery platform that supports multiple audiences and use cases. Partner with product, engineering, AI, and analytics teams to translate requirements into scalable design and platform capabilities. Establish platform integration standards-handling identity, data access, visualization layers, and extensibility frameworks. Lead implementation of platform components, data APIs, and backend systems supporting real-time and scheduled insights. Develop frameworks and reusable components that accelerate feature delivery while ensuring maintainability and security. Ensure the analytics platform adheres to security best practices, including data protection, access control, and secure deployment patterns. Proactively identify and mitigate risks to maintain a stable, secure, and compliant analytics environment. Mentor engineering staff and influence cross-functional delivery teams with technical leadership and best practices. Stay current on emerging ABI, data platform, and embedded analytics trends to inform platform evolution. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the broader goals of the team and organization. Other duties as assigned What you'll bring (Qualifications) Experience: 8+ years in software or analytics engineering with deep experience delivering ABI platforms or data-driven applications. Demonstrated experience embedding or extending modern ABI platforms to support product use cases, especially for client-facing applications. Strong backend and frontend engineering skills, especially in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript-based environments. Deep knowledge of data modeling, querying (SQL), and connecting analytics platforms to modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery). Experience with authentication/authorization integration, multi-tenancy, and performance tuning in analytics applications. Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes). Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES ESD Scheduling o Calculate processing time required for each order; estimate time needed for production, qc checks, and packing to set realistic ship dates o Coordinate production activities to ensure products are completed and ready by the ESDo Verify availability of materials and components to meet the production schedule o Develop contingency plans for potential delays; including re-scheduling due to unplanned changes in ship dates from Italy o Maintain the ESD spreadsheet and ensure tentative dates are minimizedo Communicate ESD updates to the internal team Release of Sales Orders and Work Orderso Release all production orders depending on the scheduled (weeks).o Monitor Open and Closed orders and make necessary changeso Release the samples and monitor themo Perform any reversal of a Work order that should not have been closed Monitor and analyze Inventory; turnover, wasteo Collect and analyze inventory data to track turnover and waste. o Apply basic lean principles to recommend improvements for inventory efficiency.Service Level and Lead Time Analysiso Monitor service levels and production lead times to ensure customer requirements are met. o Use forecasting tools to identify potential delays and support reliability improvements Performance Metrics and Reportingo Track KPIs for supply chain performance, including on-time shipments. o Establish and support data analysis initiatives using tools like Excel or basic Six Sigma concepts.Process Optimizationo Participate in continuous improvement projects using Lean and Kaizen methodologies. o Help identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve warehouse and production efficiency BOM Management & Documentationo Ensure BOMs reflect up-to-date design specifications, revisions, and part substitutions.o Enter and manage BOM data in the company's ERP system (SAP).o Support product data accuracy by maintaining part numbers, descriptions, and materials lists.o Assist with cost analysis by ensuring accurate component pricing and quantities are reflected in BOMs.Cross-Functional Collaborationo Work with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality teams to validate and update BOMs.Technical Interpretation & Problem-Solvingo Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications for BOM accuracy.o Identify and resolve BOM-related discrepancies or issues. Ad Hoc & Cross-Functional Support QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experienceo Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.o 0-2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or product development environment (internships accepted).o Experience with BOM creation, product documentation, or ERP systems is a plus.Technical Skillso Basic understanding of BOM structure, part numbering systems, and product lifecycle management.o Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD); for reference and review purposes.o Comfortable reading spec sheets and engineering documentation.o Experience or exposure to ERP systems; SAP preferred.o Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other documentation tools.Analytical & Organizational Abilitieso Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.o Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to BOM and product data.o Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Communication & Teamworko Effective written and verbal communication skills.o Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (engineering, purchasing, production, etc.).o Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic engineering environment.
