Cases may be sensitive because of the involvement of prominent business and government officials. Determines the depth and scope of the investigation and when needed, develops a written case plan outlining the steps to be taken in handling the investigation. * Secures facts and develops evidence from all sources to establish the extent and nature of violations. Works with and develops informants, checks available records to verify information, develops liaisons and coordinates with other law enforcement organizations and uses such investigative techniques as surveillance, searches and recording devices.
