Solid Waste District Scale House Attendant (Full-Time) The Medina County Commissioners are seeking a full-time Scale House Attendant for the Solid Waste District located on Lake Road in Medina. Responsibilities: The Solid Waste Scale House Attendant works under the direction of the Director. The Scale House Attendant serves as the first point of contact for customers depositing waste at the Solid Waste District's facility. Responsible for weighing customer vehicles on scales to determine fee amount, collecting fees and balancing cash/checks daily, as well as preparing daily deposits and assisting customers as needed. Position involves competing demands, performing multiple tasks, working to deadlines, occasional work beyond normal business hours, and responding to customer issues. May be assigned to work non-traditional hours as required including Saturdays. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Two (2) years of experience in cashiering or accounting to include six (6) months customer service experience. Scale House attendant/landfill experience preferred. A combination of education, experience and training may be applied. Demonstrated computer skills in working with Microsoft Windows PC applications. Valid Ohio Driver's License, clean driving record and proof of adequate vehicle insurance.
