Phoenix Systems is growing and we are looking for an experienced Audio/Video installation technician to join us in Greenville, SC. This position will report to the Alpharetta, GA office and will support business between Greenville, SC and Atlanta, GA including the surrounding areas.
Candidates will need to reside in or around the Greenville, SC area.
Candidates should be self-motivated, personable and of good character. You should be passionate about the design and installation of residential smart home automation systems, home theater rooms, security, networking, shades, and all about providing world class service to our high-end clients.
Starting salary range is $22.00 to $26.00/hour depending on experience and certifications.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs service, installation, and activation of security systems, surround sound systems, system components, speakers, TV hangs, and remote controls.
Perform Rough-in and Trim work on houses still in construction phase.
Identify and repair security system malfunctions and false alarms
Troubleshoot and repair existing wiring installed for Phone/Data/Intercom/Security/WAP's/Basic Audio/Cameras/etc.
Learn and understand security systems Phoenix Systems installs and services (2Gig, DSC, QOLSYS, Etc.)
Handle installation of networking requirements for Routers, Switches, DVR's, Network Components, WAP's, etc.
Learn and understands monitoring protocol with Phoenix/Monitoring Station/Primary Responders for alarms
Communicate with customers to review work orders,
Provide instruction/training to customers/end user on the system functions and operations
Accurately assess system design and functionality when adding additional components
Handle after hours emergency service calls (as assigned on a rotation basis)
Communicate pricing for monitoring rate tiers to customers
Install, setup and train homeowners on AV component packages.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience with Security/AV Installations required
Have in depth knowledge of security systems operation, functions, and wiring requirements
Understands cable types and technologies and can distinguish which types to use in installation scenarios
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Ability to work in a clean and unobtrusive manner
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within standard accepted practices.
Must have or be willing to obtain basic tools to perform job responsibilities.
Must be able to clear a background check and drug screening
Clear MVR required
Technical or Vocational related schooling is preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear.

The Hangout is looking for a hard-working sound engineer who has a passion for live entertainment and is skilled in its technical elements. This individual will help assist with load-in and load-out for all the live music at The Hangout on a nightly basis, working closely alongside the bands in addition to the Entertainment Department for any additional special events which would involve the running of light and sound.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform load-in & load-out of band and rental equipment
- Set up and break down of band and event equipment
- cabling and patching
- Audio adjustments, maintaining safe levels while providing a professional mix
- Audio control boards operation
- experience on a Behringer X32 is preferred!
- Oversee visiting audio techs, especially during shows
- Responsible for protecting/maintenance and repair of audio equipment
- Assist with production throughout the restaurant as needed
- Ensure proper care and handling of all rental audio equipment
- Interact with visiting production crews to ensure a successful show
- Distribute or create audio plans
- Oversee and operate systems pertaining to audio throughout the entire venue
- Ensure special events audio needs are scheduled, met and executed
- Assist with stands, microphones, cables, etc.
- Assist with any special events operations
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2-3 years minimum stage production experience preferred
- Experience in stage lighting, pro audio systems and basic video systems
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Must possess interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Must possess audio mixing knowledge
- Construction/shop/electrical experience preferred
- Great communication skills and ability to read and adapt to the crowd
- Ability to take direction and initiative well and is quick on their feet
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level
- Ability to lift up to seventy-five pounds

ACT Power Services, a national Solar Power Operations & Maintenance Provider, is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious High Voltage/Medium Voltage (HV/MV) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with expertise in the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of HV/MV electrical equipment and systems. This is a hands-on role that plays a critical part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of a solar power plant's infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HV/MV electrical systems (typically 5kV - 35kV and above).
Conduct electrical testing of transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, and protective devices.
Perform cable splicing and terminations in accordance with industry standards.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform root cause analysis.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and test results.
Assist in energizing new or repaired systems following strict safety protocols.
Comply with all OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and company safety standards.
Support system upgrades, outages, and emergency repairs as needed.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure projects meet specifications and timelines.
Requirements
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience working with HV/MV systems.
Knowledge of electrical theory, protective relaying, and power system operations.
Proficiency in using electrical test equipment (e.g., Multimeters, Megger, Doble, HiPot, TTR, etc.).
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
Preferred:
Technical certificate or associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field.
OSHA 30 certification and NFPA 70E training.
NETA or equivalent testing certification is a plus.
Experience with substation and transmission system maintenance.
Certificate for medium voltage cable terminations and splices.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and around energized equipment.
Must be able to wear appropriate PPE including arc flash suits.
