Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with oncology preference and a North Carolina or compact RN license required.
Responsibilities
Work in a 40-bed oncology unit within a hospital cancer center
Primary patient population includes hematology, oncology, leukemia, end-of-life, and symptom management cases
Typical RN patient ratio is 1:4-5, dependent on acuity
Shifts are 12 hours, with start time 0630 for days, every other weekend required
No call responsibilities
Holiday coverage required for approximately 75% of holidays
Floating required within the cancer center first, then to other med-surg units in the hospital
Centralized telemetry monitoring with RN verification of strips each shift
Electronic Medical Record system used is Epic (experience preferred)
Daily responsibilities include oncology nursing care, port access, and management of complex symptom and pain issues
Support staff includes CNA, HUC/receptionist, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team (days), hospitalist, and 24/7 respiratory therapy
On-unit equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell for medication dispensing, Philips monitors, and lift equipment
Orientation includes New Employee Orientation and 2 departmental training days
Scrub color required is royal blue
Free onsite parking available
First-time travelers with required experience will be considered
Must be willing to float and handle a dynamic care environment
Requirements
Active North Carolina or compact RN license required
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele or Oncology nursing experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIHSS certification required if assigned to Resource Team
Skills required include port access, blood product administration, electrolyte management, end-of-life care, pain and symptom management, PIV starts, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
ONS and OCN certification preferred

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) night shift position requiring a compact or NC RN license and previous CVICU experience.
Responsibilities
Work in a 22-bed CVICU at an academic Level 1 Trauma Center
Primary patient population includes post-cardiac surgery and critically ill cardiac patients, including those requiring circulatory support such as IABP, Impella, LVAD, and ECMO
Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:2
Float required to other critical care areas, including PCU (1:3) and Med-Surg (1:4)
Night shift hours are 1830-0700, with every other weekend and 75% holiday coverage required
Epic EMR in use; experience with Epic is preferred
CRRT (NxStage), Phillips monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing system are utilized
Duties include comprehensive cardiac critical care, post-surgical management, and advanced cardiac life support
Support team includes CNAs, 24/7 Intensivist, respiratory therapy, and charge nurse often in assignment
One week of facility orientation and 2-3 days of departmental orientation provided
Royal blue scrubs required for nursing staff
High acuity, fast-paced work environment
Employee parking is available
First-time travelers accepted if they have required CVICU experience
Schedule is set in 6-week cycles
NM approval required for requested time off
Requirements
Active NC or compact RN license required
Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience is required

Call required: 3-4 call days per month and weekend call every 5th or 6th weekend from Friday evening to Monday morning
Must work holiday shifts if scheduled per 75% holiday coverage policy

Hospital-provided scrubs

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/IR Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in interventional radiology and current ACLS, BCLS, and ARRT or RCIS certification.
Responsibilities
Role is in a combination Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) setting with 80% IR and 10% other procedures
Adult and geriatric patient population
Typical procedures include device implants such as PPM and ICD, and both diagnostic and interventional cases
Unit utilizes equipment including GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, Angio Jet, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy, and IABP
8-hour day shifts from 07:30 to 16:00, Monday through Friday
Call required twice a week for two weeks per month (16:00-07:30) and one weekend per month (Friday 16:00 to Monday 07:30), with no call the week after weekend call
Callback time for STEMI is 30 minutes; IR callback varies by procedure
No floating required
Weekend requirement is every third weekend
Unit orientation is 40-80 hours and techs begin on unit Mondays prior to Dimensions training
Scrubs are provided
Assist providers with diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
Scrub and circulate IR and Cath Lab, including urgent and emergent cases
Medication administration performed by RNs only
Call team includes three staff members, one of whom is an RN
Equitable rotation for additional coverage among staff as needed
RTO (requested time off) after booking is not allowed and additional time off may result in contract cancellation
First-day unit orientation and further Dimensions training provided after unit start
Contracts can be extended up to 20 weeks if desired
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab or IR experience
Current ACLS and BCLS certifications required
ARRT or RCIS credential required (License required if applicable)
IR experience is mandatory and must be demonstrated
Skill in scrubbing, circulating, and telemetry is required
Preferred: Experience with EKG lead placement and ARRT Advanced, RCES, or RCIS with Med experience

Responsibilities
Work in a combo lab environment featuring interventional radiology (80%), cardiology, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures
Adult and geriatric patient population
Common procedures include implants such as PPM and ICD
Responsibilities include scrub, circulate, and telemetry duties for IR and cath lab procedures
Specialized equipment includes GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, Angio Jet, Penumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, Bovi System, IABP, Impella, and various ultrasound units
Uses both cardiac and vascular imaging modalities
Day shift: 5x8 hour days, 07:30 - 16:00
Weekday call twice per week for two weeks each month (16:00-07:30); weekend call Friday 16:00-Monday 07:30 once monthly
No call required the week following a weekend call
Additional coverage may be required rotationally to meet departmental needs
No floating required
Every third weekend required
Unit orientation ranges from 40 to 80 hours
Scrubs are provided
Assist providers during diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
Work as part of a call team including three staff members, one of whom is an RN
Medication administration is performed by RNs only
Techs begin unit work on Mondays prior to Dimensions training
Holiday and extra coverage needs are covered equitably among staff
RTO (requested time off) after booking is not allowed; unapproved absences may result in contract cancellation
First-time travelers are considered
Locals are accepted
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab or IR Technologist
Must have interventional radiology experience
Current ACLS and BCLS certifications required
ARRT or RCIS certification required
Experience with scrub, circulate, and telemetry duties required
Ability to respond to urgent/emergent STEMI and IR procedures with appropriate callback time
Preferred skills: EKG lead placement, ARRT Advanced Certification, RCES, or RCIS with medical experience
License required if applicable

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of IR/Neuro IR experience and ARRT-R or RCIS certification.
Responsibilities
Academic medical center with Level 1 Trauma designation and comprehensive Stroke Center
Work in an Interventional Radiology department with 10 procedure rooms
Treats a high-acuity mix of neurovascular, oncology, and complex interventional radiology cases
Adult patient population with 46-50 cases per day
Two techs are assigned per case
Uses Siemens, GE, Philips imaging systems and GE ultrasound units
EPIC Encompass EMR is used in the department
Rotating shifts with manager open to 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts starting at 8:00 AM
On-call required one day per week (4:00 PM until last case complete) and every 7th-8th weekend from Friday evening to Monday morning
Expected to work 75% of scheduled holidays
No floating required within the facility
Responsibilities include assisting, scrubbing, circulating, and operating back-end equipment for a variety of neuro and body IR procedures
Work closely with a team including tech extenders, neuro providers, surgeons, and physicians
Department welcomes both experienced and first-time travelers
New hires receive up to 2 weeks of orientation based on experience
Hospital-provided scrubs

Requirements

Responsibilities
Position is within the Interventional Radiology unit of a tertiary care center
Handles approximately 16 cases per day across three IR rooms with pre and post coverage in the Radiology Pre Post Unit as needed
Work hours are Monday to Friday, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00am to 5:30pm
Rotational call required, including primary and backup roles with weekends and possible holiday coverage
No floating to other units is required
Unit uses PYXIS, Epic, and SBAR systems
First-time travelers are accepted for this position
On-call staff must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes
Scrubs in ceil blue are provided
Unit orientation includes 8 hours and hospital orientation in the first week
Schedule is managed by the unit manager
Candidates may be expected to cover one holiday on call
Requirements
Active NC or compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale required
Experience with conscious sedation, telemetry, and IR procedures including stroke
Preferred certifications in PALS and experience with circulate and ventilators
