The BanquetServer is responsible for the set-up and serving of food and beverages at all banquet functions according to the hotel standards that will result in the complete satisfaction of the guests attending the event.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional and timely manner.
Must attend all designated pre-event meetings.
Must be able to understand how to read a Banquet Event Order (BEO), including a room diagram.
Gather and coordinate all equipment necessary to service banquet event.
Maintain a clear and obstruction free service corridor.
Perform all Banquet sidework as designated by the Banquet Captain and/or Banquet Manager.
Efficiently and properly perform all service standards to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Efficiently attend to all needs of the guest during functions and function related duties.
Report to Banquet Captain and/or Banquet Manager any need for housekeeping and/or repairs of and banquet equipment.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
Maintain high level of standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
Comply at all times with hotel standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Follow all money handling procedures when serving the guest.
Prepare room according to the BEO (Banquet Event Order) and the various meal functions.
Clean-up banquet space after the completion of the function and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored and re-stocked properly.
Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions.
Respond to guest problems, complaints and accidents. Communicate to management, if necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 to 6 months of related experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

Who You Are:
Our bar team will be in a dinner service position. You will be responsible for opening and closing the bar. You will need to maintain a liquor inventory. You will be serving twelve different tap beers and a modest cocktail menu. You will be responsible for taking orders and delivering food to customers within the bar area. You will also be providing drinks in the dining room area with the help of a Server Assistant. This will be a walk-up bar with pagers to notify customers food is ready. Positive communication with Server Assistants and the Kitchen staff, and Concessions is essential. You will be responsible for offering detailed menu knowledge and delivering warm and attentive service. This role requires a professional demeanor with excellent communication skills and a desire to expand your food & beverage curiosity. We will provide opportunities to grow within your role, our venue, and the industry we call home
Essential Job Duties:
Greet guests warmly and ensure a welcoming atmosphere
Execute the cocktail menu to exact specification with detail and care
Use the provided tools/equipment as directed by bar management
Present extensive backbar knowledge when requested by the guest
Provide detailed information on menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods
Take accurate food and beverage orders
Serve food and beverages in an elegant and timely manner
Maintain an organized work space and cleanliness throughout service
Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address any concerns
Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service
Assist with special requests and dietary requirements
Uphold the highest standards of etiquette and service protocols
Work closely with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure seamless service
Participate in team meetings and training sessions
Other duties as assigned
Skills / Knowledge Required:
1-3 years of previous experience as a bartender preferred
Experience in a craft cocktail beverage program preferred
Intermediate levels of wine/spirits knowledge are considered, though advanced/specialized knowledge in these areas is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and a commitment to hospitality
Professional appearance and demeanor
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Able to work in a standing position for long periods
Able to reach and bend routinely and frequently lift up to 30 pounds
