The Seattle Aquarium is a conservation organization working to regenerate the health of Earth's one ocean. Responsibilities
Ability to read and understand Banquet Event Orders.
Ability to carry at least 8 entrees per tray.
Provide fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events consistent with high standards of service.
Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests ensuring that all needs are anticipated and met.
Setup and maintain both food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building consistent with OVG standards of service.
Maintain and inventory for both food and beverage stations.
Maintain all event areas and front of house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner.
Participate in both setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items.
Ability to work independently during slower times.
Perform safe work by helping to provide a safe and clean work environment.
Have a high level of social contact.
Ability to work closely with staff and deal often with patrons.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and select holidays.
Must be detail oriented to ensure that work is accurate and complete.

Physical Requirements:

Organize tables, action stations, buffets, and carts for service

Manage the presentation of tableware so that it is accessible for the guests
Monitor cleanliness and proper sanitization of tables, stations and service areas
Promote guest relations by greeting the guest warmly, engaging the guest in conversation, and using the guest's name whenever possible
Serve food by stacking the food tray properly; handle the loaded food tray by using whole body to lift, and support the tray on hand while using shoulder to stabilize
Clear the tables by assisting the service assistants and crumbing the chairs
Follow proper dish room procedures by sorting glass, linen, silver and china in separate bins

Maintain a high level of professional attitude, behavior and ethics towards guests and co-workers

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an On-Call Banquet Server to provide our banquet guests with friendly and professional food and beverage services in a timely manner. The successful On-Call Banquet Servers are relationship builders, continually thiking of creative ways to provide service to our guests. This position reports to the Banquet Manager, and the primary responsibilities are listed below, to include and are not limited to the following:
Prepare coffee breaks, carts and stations with appropriate supplies
Organize tables, action stations, buffets, and carts for service
Communicate any additional meal requirements or special requests to the kitchen

The Banquet Bartenders are responsible for setting bars in accordance with specific events and providing beverage service in a timely and professional manner. Must have a clear understanding of our service standards and meet these expectations daily.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Sets all bars in accordance with the function on that particular shift.
Exhibit full knowledge of drink recipes/wines and beers.
Provide exceptional guest service.
Maintain highest standards in work area organization/cleanliness.
Accurately pour wine and liquors as per portions set by management.
Ensure beverages are served with correct presentation.
Thorough and complete teardown of remote bars, leaving all areas clean and ready for reset at the end of events.
Accurate counting of liquor, beer and wine at the conclusion of functions to ensure proper billing.
Accurate cash reconciliation when event bars are on a cash basis.
Perform any other duties deemed necessary by banquet management.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reliable in attendance and punctuality, uses proper time clock and sign in/out procedures.
Knowledge of Chihuly Garden and Glass policies and procedures.
Knowledge of Fire/Safety/Life procedures.
Promote a positive and professional attitude to all internal and external guests.
Properly declares hours worked in the tip sheet log at the end of every shift.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Maintain the highest standards by adhering to both company and departmental standards.
Must have a minimum of one-year bartending experience in a high-volume full-service environment (preferably in a banquet setting).
Must have very good knowledge of food and beverage including wine and food pairing suggestive techniques.
Excellent communication skills necessary. Requires the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Must have a valid Washington State Class 12 Alcohol Service Permit, and a valid Washington State Food Handler's Permit
Always remains professional and works well with others.
Walking, standing, reaching, and lifting entire shift.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs over one shoulder using large oval tray.
Typical shift is approximately 6-8 hours.

Compensation:
A base wage of $20.76 per hour.
This is a tipped position. We operate a tip-pool with daily tips being allocated based on hours worked and distributed with our biweekly payroll. While we cannot guarantee how much you will earn in tips, you can expect $8-$14 per hour based on recent weeks.

Lynnwood Event Center, previously Lynnwood Convention Center, is a vibrant venue located 15 miles north of downtown Seattle. * Ability to read and understand Banquet Event Orders.
* Ability to carry at least 8 entrees per tray.
* Provide fine dining level food and beverage service to guests for all events consistent with DLTCC standards of service.

* Setup and maintain both food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building consistent with DLTCC standards of service.
