School Social Worker - Key Responsibilities:
Student Support & Counseling: Provide individual and group counseling to address students' social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
IEP & 504 Plan Collaboration: Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans. Offer social-emotional input, behavioral goals, and recommendations for interventions.
Family & Community Liaison: Act as a bridge between home, school, and community resources. Support families by connecting them to relevant services and programs.
Crisis Intervention: Respond to crises and provide immediate support to students, staff, and families during emergency situations.
Case Management & Documentation: Maintain thorough and confidential records of student progress, services provided, and communication with stakeholders. Prepare documentation for IEP meetings and evaluations.
Multidisciplinary Team Participation: Collaborate with educators, psychologists, counselors, administrators, and other team members to assess student needs and create holistic support plans.
School Social Worker Qualifications:
Degree: Master's Degree in Social Work
Licensure: Either a Preliminary or Professional School Social Worker Certificate from the Michigan Online Educator Certification System
Clearances: Criminal Background Check and TB Clearance
Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a school-based setting
Strong knowledge of community mental health resources

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Behavior analyst job in Mount Clemens, MI
Work with up to 6 male/female clients, ages 12 thru 17, in a 21 day State licensed youth crisis shelter. Our program is dedicated to assisting youth in crisis, runaway and homeless situations. Supervise and assist clients with daily structured schedule and activities.
Present as a positive role model.
Facilitate group educational, recreational and life skills activities.
Provide support and guidance to clients. (Most of the clients have experienced trauma in their lives).
Assist clients and families with conflict resolution and crisis management.
Help in creating a safe, comfortable environment for our clients.
Complete daily client behavior and observation documentation as well as all other required documentation.
Answer and assist callers on the 24 hour crisis line.
Perform phone and in-person assessments on prospective clients.
Assist with building upkeep and cleanliness.
Opportunities to do community outreach, grant writing and fundraising.
Position Requirements:
Applicants must have a minimum of an Associate's Degree or 2-3 years of college in a human services field (Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Criminal Justice) AND professional experience working with adolescents. A Bachelor's Degree with professional experience with adolescents is preferred.
No convictions involving harm or threatened harm to an individual.
Not a perpetrator of child abuse and neglect.
Three professional references.
Proof of a negative TB test.
Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Interested individuals must be able to multi-task, work well under pressure and be able to deal with crisis situations.
MUST be patient and interact with the clients in a non-punitive manner.
We are seeking candidates who can work at least a year at our agency.
Hours:
Full time IS staff work primarily Monday through Friday 7a-3pm, no more than 80 hours in a 2 week pay period (occasionally may require a weekend if Program Manager requests).
We are a 24 hour agency and never close.

Behavior Analyst
Behavior analyst job in Southfield, MI
FULL TIME-DAYS Scope of Work The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst will report to the BCBA Supervisor at Beaumont Health- TED Lindsay Foundation Hope Center. The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst shall be responsible for conducting behavioral assessments and subsequently designing behavior analytic interventions for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst will supervise Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts and/or Registered Behavior Technicians in the implementation of such behavior analytic interventions.
The Behavior Analyst will primarily be working directly with parents and caregivers of children with a suspected diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, providing evidenced based parent mediated intervention services.
Qualifications
* Candidate must possess a master's degree.
* 1 to 3 years' experience working as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (preferred).
* Candidate must be certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst; if/when Michigan offers licensure for behavior analysts; candidates will be required to hold Michigan license as a behavior analyst.
* Thorough understanding of principals of behavior analysis.
* Familiarity with individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities
