What You Will Do
Applies mutually shared and lived experiences navigating the systems of care as a caregiver. Serves as a role model, advocate, and mentor for children and families
Assists with obtaining and maintaining clients' entitlements, including Medicaid, Public Assistance, SSI as well as assisting with problems related to housing or utilities
Interviews clients and significant others, when appropriate, in order to obtain personal histories and to understand the social and emotional factors related to the client's mental health problems
Participates in frequent active engagement with families to engage them in receiving services and assists in empowering them to take the steps necessary to maximize their quality of life
Develops inventory of resources that will meet the clients' needs as identified in the assessment process
Advocates for and assists clients in utilizing adjunctive community resources. Arranges transportation and accompanies clients to appropriate facilities/agencies, as necessary
Provides linkage, coordination with, referral to and follow-up with other service providers. Monitors appointments medical facilities, social service agencies or other providers of concrete services
Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to discuss care needs and identify solutions to support clients/consumers/members
Attends planning meetings with service providers to coordinate service plans
Initiates written (including clinical and progress notes) and verbal communications, and ensures that all patient record keeping is in compliance with agency, state, city and federal requirements
Participates in agency and community programs and education, as requested
Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, staff meetings, quality assurance meetings, and supervision meetings as required
Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid driver's license (i.e., license matching state of residence) required

Education:

Work Experience:

A Family Enrichment Center (FEC) is a family-centered, place-based primary prevention approach, where all members of the community have access to and may benefit from both structured or spontaneous activities and events (called “offerings”) that strengthen family protective factors to increase child and family well‑being and promote stability. FEC offerings are available to everyone, regardless of current or past child welfare involvement.
The goal of the Family Enrichment Center (FEC) is to enhance child and family well‑being by providing access and support to enable the strengthening of family protective factors inherent in its residents and community by building mutual community connections, capacity, and resilience.
In partnership with FEC staff, families will drive the planning, development, and sustainable co‑ownership of the centers. Families who participate in the FEC programming will be encouraged to share their expertise by volunteering at the center and given meaningful opportunities to engage with neighbors and peers. The goal of the FEC is to strengthen families' protective factors and build community connections, capacity, and resilience.
Position Summary
The Family Advocate is responsible for contributing to the day‑to‑day operation of the FEC including building connections with other staff, residents, and community partners; co‑designing and delivering relevant programming and activities (offerings); providing advocacy and making referrals for participants; and creating a warm and inviting gathering place for families and individuals using the protective factors model to support community resilience.
Responsibilities
Coordinate meetings, provide support, and collaborate with a team of local parents, subject experts, and other residents to deliver monthly events and activities (offerings) held at the FEC.
Foster a culture of respect built on the belief that families and communities possess the inherent strengths and knowledge needed to succeed given the right access to opportunities and support.
Provide advocacy, outreach, and referrals to connect participants to service providers and other programs that have resources to offer.
Engage groups of local community members of all ages and guide them through the co‑designed activities and programming of the FEC.
Manage enrollment and attendance at offerings and events.
Care for and attend to the physical space of the FEC program to ensure it is safe, welcoming, organized, and appealing to participants and community members.
Handle inventory and ordering/purchasing responsibilities to keep the site running and ensure needed food and supplies are stocked for offerings.
Effectively utilize tracking and reporting mechanisms and accurately enter data and run reports in the FEC website and other agency databases as needed to obtain program‑level data, compiling statistical or written reports for agency and external stakeholders.

Use Appreciative Inquiry and other strength‑based tools to engage community members in co‑designing offerings.
Create monthly calendars, website content, and other outreach tools to promote and document offerings.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional experience; or a high school diploma and five (5) years of professional experience in community-driven programs working directly with children, youth, and families.
Reside in or near the FEC community, or reside close enough to arrive promptly, in the event of an emergency.
Bi‑Lingual either /Mandarin &/or Cantonese is required.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to warmly connect with and engage children, youth, and adults individually and in groups.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The BCBA will provide support to individuals and their families by ensuring the coordination and provision of services Applied Behavior Analysis, function analysis and assessments. Duties and Responsibilities:
Function in a supervisory capacity to provide oversight to all areas of programming including the training of Tech I's, Tech II's and BT's.
Assist in the development, facilitation, and follow up training in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Facilitate and assist in the development and identification of resources and support information for clients and their families.
Provide model teaching and other direct instructional support including but not limited to, practicum supervision/teaching, class instruction and in-service instruction to other support professionals.
Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools, to conduct functional assessments and analyses when appropriate, and to develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
Provide ongoing support and training to BT's, Tech II's, and other ABA implementers, and other individuals in support roles for families.
Apply and manage ongoing data collection system to establish a baseline and programmatic efficacy for all clients. Analyze data on a frequent basis to serve as an ongoing basis to guide programs.
Develop behavior plan/treatment plans for all consumers with a focus on teaching and other antecedent strategies for reducing problematic behaviors.
Review and sign off on behavior/treatment plans for all field staff and provide field supervision when necessary.
Keep current with all literature, new research findings and resources. In addition, continuing education courses to maintain BCBA certification are necessary (32 credits every 2 years).
Perform any other assigned duties as assigned.

* Provide written home programs/notes, demonstration of treatment techniques, parent conferences, as appropriate and necessary.
* Serve as a consultant to staff regarding behavior management
* Provide teachers with classroom modifications and strategies to facilitate student success.
* Disseminate information and respond to inquiries concerning behavior, ABA techniques, or the Autism program from administration, staff, and parents/guardians. This could include parent workshops, in-district workshops, or faculty meeting presentations. General • Prepare written materials in compliance with State, Federal and administrative regulations (ex: Lesson plans, student schedules, IEPs and IEP progress reports, goals and objectives, PLAAFP, etc.) for the purposes of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information
* Prepare for and participate in any child study team/parent meetings including annual review meetings for a student receiving BCBA services.
* Serve as an ad hoc member of the I&RS Team.
* Participates in the staff in-service education programs and attend departmental and building staff meetings.
* Adheres to departmental policies and procedures, including timely submission of schedules, logs, and timesheets.
* Adhere to all guidelines as delineated in special education code for the initiation and completion of all procedures, paperwork and processes including referrals, evaluations and implementation of the IEP.
* Develop materials, training and provide resources for and provide professional learning to administrators, staff, and parent/guardians in evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with Autism or behavioral difficulties.
* Assist students who are transitioning from alternative programs to regular school programs
Additional Responsibilities: Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Director of Special Services or the principal may assign or delegate. Evaluation: Performance in this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board of Education's policy on supervision and evaluation of instructional personnel.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking skilled and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)to join our team in our partnership school districts (may include Scotch Plains/Fanwood, NJ or KIPP Charter Schools in Newark, NJ or others). The ideal candidate will work closely with students, staff, and families to develop and implement behavior interventions that enhance student success in the school setting. The BCBA Consultant will provide direct support to students with behavioral needs, collaborate with teachers and other professionals, and offer guidance on best practices in behavior management and support strategies.
What youll do/ Key Responsibilities:
Behavioral Assessment and Intervention Planning:
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Design and implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Monitor and adjust behavior plans as needed, ensuring they align with the students academic and social needs
Collaboration & Consultation:
Provide tier 1 (whole school or whole group), tier 2 (small groups), and tier 3 (individualized) supports behavior supports based on the schools need (in general education, inclusive spaces and special-education classrooms)
Work with teachers, support staff and administrators to support the implementation of behavioral interventions in the classroom and other school environments
Provide professional development and training to school staff on behavior management strategies, data collection and other evidence-based practices
Collaborate with Special Education Teams to ensure students behavioral needs are integrated into their IEPs (as needed)
Data Collection & Analysis:
Establish and maintain data collection systems to monitor student progress and effectiveness of interventions
Analyze data regularly to track progress and make data-driven decisions for modifying behavior interventions
Report on progress and updates in monthly consult summaries and marking period progress reports
Ongoing Professional Development:
Stay current with trends and developments in the field of behavior analysis and special education/education
Position Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Masters Degree (in ABA, Special Ed, Psychology or Related field) (required)
