    Wellfound is hiring full time Mental Health Techs for our Night position. The position is a .9 FTE, 3x12 hour shifts per week with rotating weekends from 7 am - 7:30 pm. Must be able to work all days of the week. Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients. Position information: The Mental Health Technician (MHT) functions as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary treatment team responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for psychiatric patients and assist with the provision of basic patient care and recovery needs under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The MHT provides and documents interventions in a variety of modalities individually matched to the needs of each patient. The MHT provides group as well as individual interaction with patients receiving inpatient psychiatric treatment in adherence with established treatment guidelines and agency policies and procedures. Essential Job Functions: Work under the direction of the unit Registered Nurses Perform patient checks, CO / SP rounds, 1:1 etc Take vital signs and enter into electronic medical records Conduct patient safety searches Serve and monitor patient meals Assist with patient hygiene Log temperature log checks for patient and staff refrigerators Maintain clean environment including clean washer, dryer, phones and tables, removing lint and maintaining required logs Communicate respectfully with patients, family members and co-workers.
