    Qualifications: Must possess a MA degree in Special Education, Psychology or a related area Must possess BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) certification or NY State Licensed Behavior Analyst Must possess NYS certification in Special Education or related area Must possess expertise in instruction, curriculum, and positive behavior supports for individuals with autism and/or developmental disability Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Responsibilities: Provide behavioral support intervention to classroom staff Provide special instruction to students with disabilities with specific emphasis on social emotional development and PBIS Complete FBA's, develop BIP's, update BIP's quarterly Provide training on DDI's policy on challenging behaviors, ABA, PBIS, BIP's Provide supervision to colleagues pursuing the BCBA credential Provide parent training Complete educational evaluations Provides Teacher coverage as necessary Essential Functions: Must be able to modify the area to secure safety of children Ability to move/transport a child weighing up to 30 pounds to a height of 3 feet to place child on changing table Must be able to move quickly after a child up to 200 feet to prevent elopement Must be able to position self or maneuver classroom to facilitate student instruction in classroom and playground environment Must have ability to follow oral and written directions and detect/respond to fire alarms Must be able to ascend and descend stairs with railing
